Diubud Coffee, First Launching

Hi everyone. Hope you all are well as always.

Every Sunday morning in Jakarta, there's a Car Free Day event, and this was my first time back on the streets of Jakarta after struggling to wake up early for this weekly event. This week, I finally made it happen. The route that day was from Senayan—Gelora Bung Karno Area, to Bundaran HI. My friend and I strolled leisurely, chatting and enjoying everything along Sudirman Street.

It took us about two hours to reach Bundaran HI, then we went to Sarina to hand in our bottles at the bottle vending machine and exchange them for digital coins. After resting at Sarinah Mall, we intended to return to Gelora Bung Karno, but something stopped us.

It was a buy-1-get-1 offer from Diubud Café. From the name alone, I could guess that this cafe was inspired by one of Bali's most popular areas: Ubud. That day was the launch of Diubud Café's outlet at Sarinah Mall, so they were offering a buy-1-get-1 promotion. Of course, I didn't miss the opportunity; I was willing to wait in line to enjoy a brand of coffee I'd never encountered before. And this is Diubud Coffee…

Because the promotion only offered the Kopi Susu Palm Sugar Latte, I tried that. It wasn't bad, but I had a hard time getting the palm sugar to mix evenly with the coffee. As for the taste, perhaps because it was my first time, I didn't really like it. The espresso wasn't bold enough, and for the price, it was definitely overpriced.

But it's not bad at all... Nice try...
