Twinkling Watermelon - Full of Message

I have done three times. I loved all element on these drama, for me the issue that they were up are complicated but perfect. Something that we could not aware in our life, it is about the past of our parents.

Here what I think about this drama.

Talking about family especially parents, makes my heart is hurt a little bit. Instead the romance genre, I prefer family drama which’s talking about how human we are.

Twinkling Watermelon is a drama about Eun Gyeol, a CODA who is struggle to hide his passion for music to his family. His parents is deaf, also his older brother, Eun Ho. Since chilhood, Eun Gyeol helped his parents to talk to everyone and explained what they say to people also.
“You are angel due to connecting us to the world,” eun gyeol father said when eungyeol still a child.

In the Elementary School, Eun-Gyeol get a bullyng from his friend, who want Eun Gyeol cheat on exam. Eun Gyeol resist it but he got bullied. While crying in the front of instument music shop, the owner asked EunGyeol to enter the shop and given him a cup of hot chocolate. The owner then asked Eun Gyeol, will you learn how to play a guitar? Then Eun Gyeol agreed to learn guitar. He learn fast so he can playing a guitar well.

When he is growing up, Eun Gyeol still playing a music but secretly for respect his family. Then someday his father know that eun gyeol Joined a band. Ha Yi Chan, eun gyeol’s father being upset then being angry to him. Eun gyoel more upset then run away. In his escape eungyoel seeing there is two moon in the night sky, then magically there's instrumen music Shop in front of him. Eungyoel then enter the shop and meet the shopkeeper. Those Shopkeeper asked his guitar then eungyoel sell it. When he out from that Shop, he arrived in 1995, which is the past. Yup, he travel to the past accidently and he meet 18 years old Ha Yi Chan, his Father.

Due to met his 18 years old father, he just know that his father allowed to talk and hear. Ha yi chan of course don't believe that eungyoel is his son from the future. Eungyoel then promise to Ha yi chan to Support him make a band and promise to make Ha Yichan's Young era full of Light. Then eun gyoel become Ha Yi Chan tutor and friend. They become close day by day. Even though handling the 18 years old father is not easy and make frustrated, eun gyoel keep stand by yi Chan’ side.

• Cliche Theme but Wrapped by Hilarious and Good Message

Time traveller theme is not new for drama lovers. There is so many time traveler drama Like currently I have watched a drama entitled My Perfect Stranger. This drama is Similarly with My perfect Stranger, both about a couple travel to their Parents past. The different is genre. My perfect Stranger is Thriller drama while Twinkling watermelon is highschool drama.

Even though the theme was cliche, the maker make Twinkling Watermelon fun, full of good message and heart whelming. We can learn that we know nothing about our parents past, what the reason of all they decided, what is happend and how they handled their paint, we don't know about their hard time so we have to not judged them. We have to respect and Love them as they love us unconditionally.

• The Bonding Between Each Character

I have to praise how the writer created each Carachter relationship. The bonding between eungyoel and Yi Chan is forceful and hillarious. Eungyeol just know that young Ha Yi Chan is childish and surprisingly has a crush another woman, Choi Se Kyung instead his mother, Yoon Chung Ah. In that era, Eungyeol teached Ha Yi Chan many things.
The bonding about Yoon Chung Ah and Choi Se Kyung is forceful. Due to her deaf and has no friend, Se Kyung close to Chung Ah, but Chung Ah denied Se Kyung due Ha Yi Chan. Yup, Chung Ah had crush of Ha Yi Chan. In the running episodes, Yoo Chung Ah get her time to close to Yi Chan.

Besides the forth character, I loved how the maker created supporting role like Watermelon Sugar Personel and Snail hostel’s member who has important role on these drama. It was not Ha Eungyeol, Ha Yi Chan, Choi Se Kyung and Yoon Chung Ah drama, it is all charachters drama.

• Light Conflict

The main conflict of Twinkling Watermelon is about EunGyeol and his father. His father is proud had Eun Gyeol who will become a doctor, but in the deep of Eun Gyeol heart, he wants to be a musician. A potrait of musician in point of view Ha Yi Chan is dark and there is no future. Ha Yi Chan is missunderstanding about his son. Someone told Ha Yi Chan that Eun Gyeol is close to drugs, drunks, and night life. It is made Yi Chan upset and get angry. I think it is a light conflict which is, there is a common father-son fight. It can not be the reason of the magic thing sent Eun Gyeol to the Past. There should another reason that Eun Gyeol supposed to be in the past and watching how his father struggle in hus life. Like in the first pictures, Eun Gyeol felt shy or hate his deaf parents, also deaf brother which is could not stay far for him. But since his childhood, Eun Gyeol is happy with his deaf parents and deaf brother, so that could make the magic thing sent his to the Past.

Even though Twingkling Watermelon is light drama, it has been successfully to make me crying when there is narrative about Parents are.

As I said before that I watched this drama 3 times but I still feel the same feel. Goosebumps!
