I've Been Distracted

I have fallen a bit behind on my curation and comments since I set up the spare television. I am in NO way turning my back on Asian costume drama's but I am a sci-fi fantasy fan and have discovered Pluto on demand. It is a bit like watching Netflix but for free. I do get commercials but maybe once or twice per episode.

I am currently watching Stargate SG-1 and am more then half way through season five. I also have Star Trek, Farscape and Lexx (I'm not sure Pluto has this title) on my list of series to watch from begining to end.

So far Stargate has not failed to entertain me. The story is solid and continuous for the most part. It is about a secret government base in Cheyenne mountain where groups of people travel the universe using a device called a star gate.

The device opens a wormhole to another planet. The only way to connect is if the other place also has a Stargate.

From the original movie continued into SG-1 the main enemy so far is an alien that takes over a human body by force. This alien is called goa'uld and it influences people to praise it as a god.

The main team has gone to many world and met many humanoid races at the same time having contracted alien diseases, being abducted and taken over by alien races.

I have to say my favorite characters are Dr. Daniel Jackson and Samantha Carter. Jackson is a Dr of archeology and Carter is something of a science geek. If sci-fi is a genre that interests you then I believe you will like this as much as I do.

Other then Pluto tv, I'm not sure where else this can be viewed. For now I'm off to enjoy a few more episodes before I go to sleep for the night.

Oh. The image above was created in Ms paint. I tried to stay as close as possible to the actual insignia colors but short of knowing the exact hex color this is what I came up with. I also could not get the trailing circles right so I did not include them. I will work on that.
