TRAMA

Todo comienza en la ciudad de Nueva York, cuando un joven llamado James persigue a pie a un sospechoso. Sin escapatoria, el sospechoso salta y, en ese momento, James descubre que no se trata de una persona normal, sino de un alienígena.

OPINIÓN PERSONAL

Esta es una de mis películas favoritas. La vi una y otra vez durante mucho tiempo sin cansarme, y por eso me hacía mucha ilusión compartirles mi opinión sobre ella.

Como pudieron ver en el resumen, la historia gira alrededor de los alienígenas y de una organización secreta que trabaja para mantener su existencia en el anonimato.

Algo que me llamó mucho la atención fue la manera en que reclutan a James, quien posteriormente se convierte en el Agente J. Su jefe no buscó a la persona más fuerte, a quien tuviera las mejores calificaciones o a alguien experto en el manejo de armas, como parecía ocurrir con los demás candidatos.

Todo lo contrario. Él vio en James algo diferente: inteligencia, astucia y una capacidad especial para reaccionar ante situaciones inesperadas. Además, no se dejó llevar por el miedo cuando descubrió que los alienígenas existían. Incluso llegó a pensar en ellos como si fueran simplemente otro tipo de seres.

Durante las pruebas, estas cualidades fueron las que terminaron destacándolo.

Creo que algo similar puede ocurrir en muchos trabajos. Si bien los conocimientos técnicos son importantes, también considero que la experiencia, el criterio personal y los valores que tenemos como personas pueden marcar una gran diferencia.

La primera vez que vi esta película, recuerdo que sentí bastante miedo durante la escena del granjero Edgar. Cuando la nave alienígena cae, parece que el extraterrestre hubiera absorbido a esta persona y utilizado su piel como una especie de disfraz para engañar a los demás.

La escena en la que Edgar se estira la cara y pide azúcar me pareció especialmente perturbadora. Es algo completamente fuera de lo normal y, además, comienzan a salir insectos de su ropa. Si imaginamos encontrarnos con algo así en la vida real, creo que a más de uno nos daría muchísimo asco y miedo.

Aunque no soy especialmente fan de los temas relacionados con ovnis y alienígenas, esta película tiene algo que me encanta: la comedia que se mezcla con las diferentes situaciones. En gran parte, esto se debe al carisma de Will Smith, quien considero que fue perfecto para interpretar al Agente J, junto con su compañero, el Agente K.

También me parece muy divertido descubrir que los alienígenas viven entre los seres humanos como si nada. Tienen empleos, negocios y forman parte de la sociedad como cualquier otra persona. Sin embargo, cuando James comienza a observar con más atención, se da cuenta de que siempre estuvieron allí y que quizás nunca los había notado debido al estrés y al ritmo acelerado de la vida en la ciudad.

Incluso aparece un perro alienígena, algo que uno jamás imaginaría a simple vista.

A partir de esto, también he visto que algunas personas creen que este tipo de películas muestran verdades ocultas disfrazadas de ficción, o que utilizan algo conocido como "primado negativo".

Este concepto me llamó mucho la atención cuando lo conocí, porque plantea la posibilidad de que algunas películas y series presenten determinados elementos o ideas que pasan desapercibidos para nosotros. Quizás vemos una película como simple entretenimiento, pero existen personas que creen que detrás de algunas escenas puede haber mensajes o información que no reconocemos conscientemente.

Después de conocer más sobre este tema, creo que resulta interesante relacionarlo con las recientes noticias sobre la revelación de información clasificada del Gobierno estadounidense. Personalmente, considero que vale la pena investigar este concepto y analizar este tipo de películas con una mirada más crítica y detallada, aunque siempre teniendo en cuenta que se trata de interpretaciones y teorías.

Volviendo a la película, otra de las cosas que más me gustó fue descubrir que el objeto que todos estaban buscando no era exactamente lo que parecía. Resulta ser una galaxia escondida dentro de un pequeño dije.

Hay una frase que me parece muy interesante cuando le explican al Agente J que los seres humanos solemos buscar cosas grandes, cuando en realidad algo pequeño puede contener un significado o una importancia infinita.

Una de las escenas que más me hizo reír es cuando el Agente J comienza a matar cucarachas y descubre que Edgar pertenece a esa especie alienígena. Al darse cuenta de que, aparentemente, está matando a sus familiares lejanos, Edgar se enfurece muchísimo.

Pero, si hay algo que definitivamente me gustaría tener, sería el famoso dispositivo para borrar la memoria de las personas. Aunque creo que no debería utilizarse a la ligera, entiendo por qué los agentes lo usan cuando alguien descubre accidentalmente la existencia de los alienígenas. En mi caso, si algún día viera algo así, probablemente también necesitaría que borraran mi memoria.

También es interesante mencionar que existen personas que creen que los llamados "Hombres de Negro" realmente existen. Según estas teorías, no serían humanos comunes, sino entidades que trabajan para ocultar información relacionada con los extraterrestres.

Más allá de creer o no en estas teorías, creo que parte de la magia de esta película está precisamente en hacernos imaginar que todo esto podría estar ocurriendo frente a nosotros sin que nos demos cuenta.

Finalmente, considero que los Agentes J y K forman una excelente pareja. Uno es divertido, espontáneo y carismático, mientras que el otro es mucho más serio y reservado. Sus personalidades son completamente diferentes, pero justamente esa combinación es la que hace que trabajen tan bien juntos.

Les recomiendo mucho ver esta película y, por supuesto, también sus secuelas: Hombres de negro 2 y Hombres de negro 3.

Personal opinion

This is one of my favorite movies. I watched it over and over again for a long time without ever getting tired of it, which is why I was really excited to share my thoughts about it with you.

As you could see in the summary, the story revolves around aliens and a secret organization that works to keep their existence hidden.

One thing that really caught my attention was the way James is recruited, eventually becoming Agent J. His boss was not looking for the strongest person, someone with the best grades, or someone who was an expert with weapons, as seemed to be the case with the other candidates.

Quite the opposite. He saw something different in James: intelligence, cleverness, and a special ability to react to unexpected situations. He also did not let fear take over when he discovered that aliens existed. In fact, he even thought of them as simply another type of being.

During the tests, these qualities were what ultimately made him stand out.

I think something similar can happen in many jobs. While technical knowledge is important, I also believe that experience, personal judgment, and the values we have as people can make a huge difference.

The first time I watched this movie, I remember feeling quite scared during the scene involving the farmer, Edgar. When the alien spaceship crashes, it seems as though the extraterrestrial being had absorbed the man and was using his skin as some kind of disguise to fool everyone else.

The scene where Edgar stretches his face and asks for sugar was particularly disturbing to me. It is something completely out of the ordinary, and then insects start coming out of his clothes. If we imagine encountering something like that in real life, I think many of us would be absolutely disgusted and terrified.

Although I am not particularly a fan of topics related to UFOs and aliens, there is something about this movie that I absolutely love: the way comedy is mixed into the different situations. A big part of this is thanks to Will Smith's charisma, and I think he was perfect for the role of Agent J, along with his partner, Agent K.

I also find it really funny to discover that aliens live among humans as if it were completely normal. They have jobs, businesses, and are part of society just like everyone else. However, when James starts paying closer attention, he realizes that they have always been there and that perhaps he had never noticed them because of the stress and fast pace of life in the city.

There is even an alien dog, something you would never expect to see at first glance.

Because of this, I have also seen some people claim that movies like this one hide real truths disguised as fiction, or that they use something known as "negative priming."

This concept really caught my attention when I first learned about it because it suggests that some movies and TV shows may present certain elements or ideas that go unnoticed by us. Perhaps we watch a movie simply for entertainment, while some people believe that there may be hidden messages or information behind certain scenes that we do not consciously recognize.

After learning more about this topic, I think it is interesting to connect it with recent news about the disclosure of classified information by the U.S. government. Personally, I believe it is worth researching this concept and looking at these types of movies from a more critical and detailed perspective, while always keeping in mind that these are interpretations and theories.

Going back to the movie, another thing I really enjoyed was discovering that the object everyone was searching for was not exactly what it seemed. It turns out to be a galaxy hidden inside a tiny pendant.

There is a line that I find very interesting when Agent J is told that human beings tend to look for big things, when in reality, something small can contain something of infinite importance or meaning.

One of the scenes that made me laugh the most is when Agent J starts killing cockroaches and discovers that Edgar belongs to that alien species. When he realizes that he is apparently killing his distant relatives, Edgar becomes extremely angry.

But if there is one thing I would definitely love to have, it would be the famous device that erases people's memories. Although I don't think it should be used carelessly, I understand why the agents use it when someone accidentally discovers the existence of aliens. In my case, if I ever saw something like that, I would probably need them to erase my memory too.

It is also interesting to mention that there are people who believe that the so-called "Men in Black" actually exist. According to these theories, they would not be ordinary humans, but rather entities that work to hide information related to extraterrestrials.

Whether or not we believe these theories, I think part of the magic of this movie lies precisely in making us imagine that all of this could be happening right in front of us without us even realizing it.

Finally, I think Agents J and K make an excellent team. One is funny, spontaneous, and charismatic, while the other is much more serious and reserved. Their personalities are completely different, but that is exactly what makes them work so well together.

I highly recommend watching this movie and, of course, its sequels as well: Men in Black II and Men in Black 3.
