Buenas buenas comunidad, hoy les traigo la segunda película de Shrek, seguramente varios de ustedes la vieron completa o algunas partes.

Creo que hasta aquí son las 2 que más me gustaron porque luego siento que se han vuelto algo aburridas y de relleno, pero bueno esa es mi opinión jeje.

Así que siéntanse cómodos y que ruede la peli.

🎬 Un poco de contexto

Como recordarán, en la primera peli Fiona se casa con Shrek y en esta segunda parte están disfrutando de su luna de miel, viajando y conociendo nuevos lugares.

Hasta que de retorno al pantano se encuentran con los mensajeros del palacio, indicando que el rey y la reina de Muy Muy Lejano los invitaban a visitarlos. Es decir, los padres de Fiona querían conocer a su esposo y yerno.

Aunque un poco molesto, Shrek acepta ir al palacio. Por otro lado, Fiona estaba muy emocionada de ver de nuevo a sus padres y sobre todo de que conocieran a su esposo; pero no todo resulta bonito ya que apenas lo ven se decepcionan, más que todo su padre el rey.

Fiona muy triste con todo lo ocurrido hace que aparezca su hada madrina quien le dice que podía ayudarla con lo que quisiera, pero cuando se entera de que ya estaba casada y era “feliz”, solo se va algo confundida.

El rey, para tratar de mejorar las cosas con su yerno decide invitarlo a cazar, así que al día siguiente Shrek va a encontrarse con él al bosque. Pasa el tiempo y no podía encontrar el lugar donde habían quedado, pero en eso aparece un gato que está dispuesto a matar a Shrek.

Logra vencerlo de forma fácil y lo obliga a decirle quién lo había mandado y el Gato afirma que fue el rey. Shrek, muy decepcionado, no sabe qué hacer, hasta que recuerda que podía ir donde el hada madrina para conseguir algún tipo de poción que ayudara a mejorar la relación con su esposa y sus suegros, pero sobre todo que hiciera feliz a Fiona.

Shrek, el Burro y el Gato llegan hasta ese lugar y para no levantar sospechas dentro del lugar, entran a escondidas y roban una poción de “feliz por siempre”. Pero al salir todo se complica, convirtiendo el lugar en un desastre, y terminan siendo vistos por el hada madrina quien muy molesta decide aprovechar ese incidente a su favor.

Shrek toma la poción, pero no ve cambios hasta el día siguiente, cuando se convierte en un hombre, pero será que esto es lo que realmente quiere Fiona. Pues si no viste la peli ponemos pausa al post y esperamos hasta que termines de verla jeje.

♥ Lo que más me gustó de esta segunda parte

Esta segunda parte me gustó mucho porque vemos la vida de Fiona, desde que era una niña su sueño era casarse con el príncipe Encantador (hijo del hada madrina), pero por desgracia tuvo que ser encerrada en una torre para que algún día pudiera ser liberada de la misma con un beso de amor.

Pero como ya sabemos, Shrek es quien la salva y no Encantador, porque esto había sido planeado tanto por el hada como por el rey. Esto también es súper interesante porque vemos que el rey resultó ser sólo un sapo que a cambio de un hechizo había aceptado que su hija se casara con Encantador.

Me gusta mucho la aparición del Gato con botas, quien es un personaje muy rudo y gracioso, más aún con ese acento español que le da el actor Antonio Banderas. Si han visto su película en solitario, también se puede apreciar todo lo que tuvo que vivir en su vida para ganarse algunos centavos.

Una escena clásica de esta película es la carita de ternura que pone antes de pelear, logrando que sus oponentes se derritan de amor jeje, una maña adorable pero astuta de su parte. Además de que hace fama de su galanura con las damas.

Ahora, si nos vamos a la transformación de Shrek y Burro, también es otra escena graciosa, porque por un lado se sienten extrañados, pero luego parece que les gusta llamar la atención de las personas, para ustedes, ¿se veían bien? Yo creo que sí jeje, pero bueno era solo el exterior que cambió porque por dentro seguían siendo los mismos.

Ya en la parte donde deciden salvar a Fiona del falso Shrek, podemos ver que para entrar al castillo deciden crear un súper hombre de jengibre quien por su tamaño y fuerza logra abrir las puertas para que todos puedan entrar. Esta parte me encanta, ya me imagino yo una galleta de ese tamaño jeje pero luego le echan leche y termina por destrozarse (triste pero con ganas de probar un poquito).

Otra parte graciosa es cuando canta el hada madrina y Encantador y Fiona se ponen a bailar, me encanta la escena porque Fiona trata de hacer tiempo para que la besen, mientras el hada hace de todo para que su canción sea lo más romántica y provocadora posible para que eso pase.

Y ni hablar de la canción que va muy acorde a la escena, mientras Encantador trata de robarse el amor de Fiona y Shrek trata de salvar a su esposa.

Para al final cerrar otro gran número de música y baile a cargo del Burro y el Gato, en serio que estas escenas me robaron muchas risas, todos felices por haber salvado el día.

💭 Algunas reflexiones

Esta segunda parte me dejó varias cosas interesantes, dentro de las más importantes la importancia que se da a la apariencia de las personas.

Está claro que, en un principio, el rey y la reina estaban disgustados con Shrek, más en el caso del rey porque quería algo mucho mejor para su hija, pero si lo pensamos bien, también era por el acuerdo que tenía con el hada madrina.

Pero al final resulta que él también era un ser distinto, eso es lo que le dice Burro, pero estaba tan enfrascado en ver las cosas negativas de Shrek que no se puso a pensar que él era igual o peor. Además, como siempre, tenían una idea errada sobre los ogros en general, que comían personas, eran torpes, tontos, etc.

A veces nos preocupamos más por personas externas, criticándolas y hablando mal de ellas, sin pensar en nuestras propias falencias, que pueden ser similares a las nuestras. Es por eso que suelen decir que nos reflejamos en los demás y vemos justo las cosas que no nos gustan de nosotros.

Otra cosa que también me llamó la atención es cuánto estamos dispuestos a dejar o dar por ver feliz a nuestra pareja o la persona que amamos, puede ser algo complicado porque, en primer lugar, se supone que tu pareja sabe cómo eres y te tendría que aceptar así tal cual, pero si te pide cambios muy radicales, deberías pensarlo dos veces en ver si es el/la indicado/a.

En este caso, se notaba que Shrek amaba demasiado a Fiona y que por ella sería capaz de todo, hasta dejar su antiguo yo y volverse una persona, pero se dio cuenta de que eso no era lo que quería ella porque ella se había enamorado de su interior.

Me parece muy linda la escena en que ella le dice de forma amable que es feliz con el ogro con el que se casó, es así que da a entender que siempre fue feliz pero quizá por disgustos pasajeros que tuvieron se pudo malinterpretar.

Esto también le pasó al rey, quien se había enamorado de la princesa, pero como era una rana pensó que no iba a tener oportunidad para estar con ella y por eso decide hacer el trato con el hada madrina. Pero igualmente se dio cuenta de que ella era feliz, porque sabía cómo era él, lo conocía muy a fondo y aunque fuera un sapo, ella lo amaba.

Debo haber visto esta película más de 20 veces jeje porque es otro clásico que, por ejemplo, en mi ciudad la ponen en puestos de comida y no puede faltar la película 1 y 2. Es por eso que la he visto tantas veces.

Shrek 2 (2004): Does appearance matter more than the heart?

Hello, hello community, today I bring you the second Shrek movie, surely many of you have seen it in full or in parts.

I think up to this point, these are the two I liked the most because later on, I feel they became somewhat boring and filler, but well, that's my opinion hehe.

So make yourselves comfortable and let the movie roll.

🎬 A bit of context

As you may remember, in the first movie Fiona marries Shrek, and in this second part, they are enjoying their honeymoon, traveling and discovering new places.

Until they return to the swamp and encounter the palace messengers, indicating that the king and queen of Far Far Away were inviting them to visit. That is to say, Fiona's parents wanted to meet her husband and son-in-law.

Although a bit annoyed, Shrek agrees to go to the palace. On the other hand, Fiona was very excited to see her parents again and especially for them to meet her husband; but not everything turns out well as they are disappointed as soon as they see him, especially her father, the king.

Fiona, very sad about everything that had happened, makes her fairy godmother appear, who tells her that she could help her with whatever she wanted, but when she finds out that she was already married and "happy," she just leaves somewhat confused.

The king, in an attempt to improve things with his son-in-law, decides to invite him to go hunting, so the next day Shrek goes to meet him in the forest. Time passes and he couldn't find the place where they had agreed to meet, but then a cat appears that is ready to kill Shrek.

He manages to defeat it easily and forces it to tell him who had sent it, and the Cat claims it was the king. Shrek, very disappointed, doesn't know what to do, until he remembers that he could go to the fairy godmother to get some kind of potion that would help improve the relationship with his wife and his in-laws, but above all, make Fiona happy.

Shrek, the Donkey, and the Cat arrive at that place and to avoid raising suspicions, they sneak in and steal a "happily ever after" potion. But as they leave, everything gets complicated, turning the place into a disaster, and they end up being seen by the fairy godmother, who, very upset, decides to take advantage of the incident to her benefit.

Shrek takes the potion, but he doesn't see any changes until the next day, when he turns into a man. But is this really what Fiona wants? Well, if you haven't seen the movie, we'll pause the post and wait until you finish watching it, haha.

♥ What I liked most about this second part

I really liked this second part because we see Fiona's life. Since she was a child, her dream was to marry Prince Charming (the son of the fairy godmother), but unfortunately, she had to be locked in a tower so that one day she could be freed from it with a kiss of love.

But as we already know, it is Shrek who saves her and not Charming, because this had been planned by both the fairy and the king. This is also super interesting because we see that the king turned out to be just a frog who, in exchange for a spell, had agreed to let his daughter marry Charming.

I really like the appearance of Puss in Boots, who is a very tough and funny character, especially with that Spanish accent given by the actor Antonio Banderas. If you have seen his solo movie, you can also appreciate everything he had to go through in his life to earn a few cents.

A classic scene from this movie is the cute little face he makes before fighting, making his opponents melt with love, haha, an adorable yet cunning trick on his part. Besides, he makes a name for himself with the ladies.

Now, if we look at the transformation of Shrek and Donkey, it's also another funny scene because on one hand they feel strange, but then it seems they like to attract people's attention. For you, did they look good? I think so, haha, but well, it was just the exterior that changed because inside they were still the same.

Already in the part where they decide to save Fiona from the fake Shrek, we can see that to enter the castle they decide to create a super gingerbread man who, due to his size and strength, manages to open the doors so everyone can enter. I love this part, I can already imagine a cookie that size haha but then they pour milk on it and it ends up getting destroyed (sad but I would love to try a bit).

Another funny part is when the fairy godmother sings and Charming and Fiona start dancing. I love the scene because Fiona tries to buy time to get kissed, while the fairy does everything to make her song as romantic and provocative as possible to make that happen.

And not to mention the song that perfectly fits the scene, while Charming tries to steal Fiona's love and Shrek tries to save his wife.

To finally close with another great musical and dance number featuring Donkey and Puss, seriously, these scenes made me laugh a lot, everyone happy for having saved the day.

💭 Some reflections

This second part left me with several interesting things, among the most important being the emphasis placed on people's appearance.

It is clear that, at first, the king and queen were displeased with Shrek, especially the king because he wanted something much better for his daughter, but if we think about it, it was also because of the agreement he had with the fairy godmother.

But in the end, it turns out that he was also a different being, that's what Donkey tells him, but he was so engrossed in seeing the negative things about Shrek that he didn't stop to think that he was just as bad or worse. Moreover, as always, they had a wrong idea about ogres in general, that they ate people, were clumsy, foolish, etc.

Sometimes we worry more about external people, criticizing them and speaking ill of them, without thinking about our own shortcomings, which may be similar to theirs. That's why they often say that we reflect ourselves in others and see exactly the things we don't like about ourselves.

Another thing that caught my attention is how much we are willing to leave or give up to see our partner or the person we love happy. It can be something complicated because, first of all, your partner is supposed to know who you are and should accept you just as you are. But if they ask for very radical changes, you should think twice about whether they are the right one for you.

In this case, it was clear that Shrek loved Fiona so much and that he would be capable of anything for her, even leaving his old self and becoming a person. But he realized that this was not what she wanted because she had fallen in love with his inner self.

I find the scene very sweet where she kindly tells him that she is happy with the ogre she married, thus implying that she was always happy but perhaps their temporary disagreements could have been misinterpreted.

This also happened to the king, who had fallen in love with the princess, but since he was a frog, he thought he wouldn't have a chance to be with her and that's why he decided to make the deal with the fairy godmother. But he still realized that she was happy because she knew who he was, she knew him very well, and even though he was a frog, she loved him.

I must have seen this movie more than 20 times haha because it's another classic that, for example, in my city they play it at food stalls and you can't miss movies 1 and 2. That's why I've seen it so many times.
