I have mixed feelings about the New Vegas remake. My first instinct is to wish that the Bethesda corpsuits would fuck off and never touch a legendary game, one of my favourite titles ever. And yet, there's that tiny evil part of my heart that wants to see it happen and watch Todd and Co. crash against the wall. To put a hundred million into its development and end up with a massive flop.
Sure, I know it's unfair because why would I want normal people in the dev team suffer, from coders to testers? It's a good thing that my wishes matter nothing, I guess.

I think Todd Howard knows his team can't deliver a Fallout experience as good without players helping them improve. As you said, they're bloating, spending a ton of money, and the results are far worse than New Vegas, which is universally praised everywhere as the best Fallout since Tactics or Fallout 2, depending on which one you consider the latest. As for me, I hope you, fans of the series, get a very good game.
