Cine TV contest #38 - Favorite movie vehicle: The Delorean (BTTF)

Hi friends from Cine TV community. Once more I'm participating in the contest and this week it's about your favorite movie vehicle. Here's the link to the contest.

The movie I picked for this contest is my favorite movie ever: Back to the future. I'm a huge fan, so it was such an easy decision for me to select the DeLorean. I think that of all the time machines that I have seen in movies or shows the Delorean is the coolest by far. You can use it as a car to drive around the city and it's also a time machine, it's great.

What makes this vehicle special?

What makes it special it's that it's a time machine obviously, it has so many gadgets and lights that immediately catches your attention. I love how the doors open, the things it has in the back,I don't know how to call them, those two big things that give it power and of course, all the time travel related stuff. The silver color is also a nice touch.

How did it add to the films?

This car is practically another character of the movie and an important one. It's how they can travel in time and it needs to be in perfect condition, otherwise you can get stuck in time. This happens to Marty in the first movie. I remember feeling nervous about Marty because he was there in the past, not knowing how to fix the car and I imagined myself in the same position, what would I do? Luckily he finds a way. I love the scene where they use the lightning to power up the car and make Marty go back to the future. I love watching the trail of fire the car leaves when it disappears, it's so cool.

I also like how it changes along the movie. In the second film the car can fly, it's a really good improvement, and in the third one it is destroyed but the time machine continues as a train.

Was there a specific scene that made it so important?

Every time the car travels in time is an amazing thing to watch, the sound, the light, the fire trail, how cold it gets, everything is so cool. I have to say the the first time we see the DeLorean is a great scene, the way is filmed is really good. It comes out of the truck backwards and we are presented with the car in slow motion, so we can appreciate each part better. Then the Doc explains Marty all the components of the time machine and how it works, it's incredible.

Well, I haven't seen this car in real life but I would love to, and if I had the chance I totally buy it. I would be on cloud nine riding my DeLorean around the city and I wouldn't change a thing from it. It would stay the same, as a time machine. That would be a dream come true 🤩.
