I am a celluloid traveler. I collect stories along my way—stories that make me grow; stories that revolutionize my spirit; stories that unfold before the great screen of the universe. Before it, I sit. I watch. Life is so cinematic through the lens of a camera! It’s just a matter of taking that raw material and crafting it with care. Capturing the essence in a photograph, scripting our destiny with words, filming memories and emotions to lock them forever in the eternal span of a movie.

Soy un viajero del celuloide. Colecciono historias en mi camino. Historias que me hacen crecer; historias que revolucionan mi espíritu; historias que se despliegan frente a la gran pantalla del universo. Frente a ello me siento. Le observo. ¡La vida es tan cinemática ante el lente de una cámara! Es solo tomar esa materia y trabajarla con esmero. Capturar la esencia en una fotografía, definir con palabras el guión de nuestro destino, filmar los recuerdos y emociones para encerrarlos para siempre en el eternio lapso de una película.

Y ahí estoy yo, el viajero del celuloide, sentado frente a una butaca o en una silla en la intimidad de mi cuarto. Veo filmes para comprenderme a mí y comprender el mundo. Hablo de ellos y los recomiendo porque el cine es el gran invento del espíritu humano; el portavoz de la memoria de nuestros pueblos.

Mi nombre es William Vargas y agradecido por compartir con ustedes en esta comunidad. Espero que ustedes también, viajeros del celuloide, me acompañen en este entramado y largo viaje.

And there I am, the celluloid traveler, seated in a theater chair or in the intimacy of my room. I watch films to understand myself and to understand the world. I talk about them and recommend them because cinema is the great invention of the human spirit—the spokesperson for the memory of our peoples.
