Will Smith Deserves That Oscar

I woke up this morning to clips of Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Academy Awards. At first, I didn't pay attention to it and didn't even watch past the slap. I thought it was part of the script because, well, it's an award show, there's usually some funny drama that's all scripted.
Will Smith and Chris Rock are two people I really like for their work and I'd assume they're friends judging by the industry they're in. So I assumed Will was walking up to the stage for some good ol' jabbing after Chris Rock made a joke about his wife.
I was shocked by the slap. It was a darn good slap and kind of hilarious too. I wonder what was running through Chris Rock's mind in the different stages of the slap.
The slap can be seen from several angles and the expression on both of their faces is hard for me to read. I still can't tell if this is scripted or not after watching the video over and over. You can't blame me, these are really good actors and they probably have put on a great show for us all.
Will Smith was laughing at the joke one second, next, he was walking up on stage for the famous slap right after his wife, Jada expressed her displeasure at the joke.
The weird part is that Will Smith first laughed at the joke. It's either he didn't get the joke at first or he only reacted that way because of Jada's reaction.
Comedians talk a lot of shit and everyone's supposed to be alright with it because it's their 'craft'. But there are people that would always be hurt by these jokes and however they react to it cannot be controlled by anyone.
I wasn't pleased with Will's reaction and I think he could have handled it better after the show. I don't think his reaction lessens the effect of the offense taken or takes away Jada's hurt.
It looked to me like Will wasn't okay, I mean the way he moved looked like he was having some sort of episode or something.
Chris Rock on the other hand, handled the situation the way I expected. He was on the job so I didn't expect him throwing hands. He took it in good strides and continued on with the show.
I haven't seen a reaction from Chris Rock yet, but Will, Jada and even their son Jaden, seem proud of the awkward moment of the night.
If Will thought slapping Chris Rock was going to stop the jokes from coming, he thought wrong. It only gets worse from here because now every comedian has been served new material on a platter.
Well, at least he won an Oscar. I low-key feel like everything was staged and the Oscar is proof that Will is a good actor, good enough to make us believe that last night was real. Everybody in the Smith household might hate Chris, but he's sure not keeping Jada's name out of his mouth just yet.
Do you think Will acted appropriately in defense of his wife? Should comedians be cancelled? Does Everybody Hate Chris now?

The operators doing V2K with remote neural monitoring want me to believe this lady @battleaxe is an operator. She is involved in the same discord groups around @fyrstikken and friends. Her discord is Battleaxe#1003. Shes in some groups with seemingly detached characters that dont even acknowledge the others in the group, looking oddly staged. She starts projects and does nothing with it or the delegations after its used to sway people. Like @steempowertwins does<------fake along with her @teamgood <------fake. No substance in her comments and has a following that adores her for what? Life coach she is not nor is she insightful with any meaningful skills to follow. Ruler of pixie dust maybe? I would like for someone to show me but probably wont out fear maybe? @fyrstikken groups around him down voted me into censored and not viewable on my accounts as soon I told what they were doing.
I cant prove @battleaxe is the one directly doing the V2K and RNM. Doing it requires more than one person at the least. It cant be done alone. She cant prove she is not one of the ones doing V2K because she cant and could care less. I guarantee she knows this is going around and still wont prove it because she cant. Many of us here can prove what they have been doing to survive the past 5 years. What does she live off of? It definitely isnt in public view here.
I was drugged in my home covertly, it ended badly. They have been trying to kill me using RNM with applied V2K mental games while revealing as many accessories to the crime as they can. I bet nobody does anything at all. Ask @battleaxe to prove it. I bet she wont. Pretty serious accusations to just blow off and leave the crypto community hanging in fear of this danger.
They want me to believe the V2K and RNM in me is being broadcast from her location. And what the fuck is "HOMELAND SECURITY" doing about this shit? I think stumbling over their own dicks maybe? Just like they did and are doing with the Havana Syndrome. They should start by looking at the communications between the top witnesses of Hive and the connection to @fyrstikken groups. Google his fucking name and see where his other interests lie around at least once maybe? The connections between @fyrstikken groups and all the exchanges built for Hive? Bet that would reveal some crazy ball less nutty shit. Homeland security should start preparing for their own incarcerations seeing how sloppy this was done. Patriot act my ass. Think we are really fools? Bad position your not getting out of. Dont be last to blow the whistle. Who will protect you?
People in and around @fyrstikkens groups are reckless and should have shown the proper media what they had before taking me hostage for 5 long torturing years and counting. That is a long time to wait for someone to die.
What would you say while having a gun pointed at your head from an undisclosed location? Have people find it? My hands are tied while they play like children with a gun to my head. Its a terrorist act on American soil while some yawn and say its not real or Im a mental case. Many know its real. This is an ignored detrimental to humanity domestic threat. Ask informed soldiers in the American military what their oath is and why nothing is being done. Nobody has I guess. Maybe someone told ill informed soldiers they cant protect America from military leaders in control that have ill intent. How do we protect locked up soldiers prevented from telling the truth from being treated as criminals? Not to mention civilians we let our leaders treat the same way. https://ecency.com/fyrstikken/@fairandbalanced/i-am-the-only-motherfucker-on-the-internet-pointing-to-a-direct-source-for-voice-to-skull-electronic-terrorism-terrorism

I thought he is gonna use his flash stick to erase all the world's memory XD and yeah he shouldn't lose his cool like a 19 year old. I am his big fan and got into sci-fi world holding his hand. It feels bad that now whole world will mock him. !1UP
I agree he should have sucked it up and confronted Chris later. It was the biggest night of his career and shouldn't have been so chaotic.

Chris is going to be Chris. He's been doing this for decades and he isn't going to stop. Will Smith should have thought of that before acting like a child. I remember one of Chris' earlier shows where he said something like people with the most need to STFU because they have the most to lose. Will was laughing at Chris' joke and the next second he went to slap Chris rock. He's got problems. Comedians are going to have a field day with this for years.
Comedians and rappers be like...
It's a tough situation. But, honestly, when you think about that joke really, it's not offensive, at least not as offensive as people like it to be. I am planning to write a whole post explaining it, but here's a quick breakdown.
G.I Jane was a movie starring Demi More: Chris Rock didn't pick some ugly person in comparison. Not to mention, G.I Jane was a strong fighter and character. Plus the green Jada was wearing made the joke more appropriate. He wasn't mocking her for not having any hair, he made a quip based on looks and posture.
When people say stuff like "He humiliated her" I have no idea how. By comparing her to another beautiful woman? By aligning her with a strong character? The reason this similarity in specific sticks out for me is because that was literally the nickname my friend's dad gave her when she had cancer at 16 and it became one we all used until she beat it.
I agree with giving Will a pass, especially after reading his book and knowing how he feels during these moments. But, A) what he did is still wrong, and B) Chris Rock has nothing to apologize for.
I think it's an offensive joke to Jada because she's a black woman and black women have a history of being discriminated for their hair. This makes hair a sensitive topic in the black community.
I can understand why telling a joke referencing her baldness caused by an auto-immune disorder is insensitive to her.
Actually it was about the hair. He apologised saying he didn't know about the alopecia, so yeah, it was about hair.
I think it was staged. Like most of what happens in Hollywood is.
The people who believe it was actually real 100% are the same ones who believe everything on the news. I can't blame them, because like you said: They're great actors. The thing is, there's no such thing as bad publicity. And yeah, these guys roast each other all the time.
I mean, no one went on stage to hit Ricky Gervais when he basically said that Tom Hanks and others were pedophiles...
That's right. Whatever sells!
Very interesting post, what's the funniest thing while watching a shortcut of the gala in Poland, this element of the gala was omitted, so at the very beginning, I had no idea why so many people were surprised.
!1UP
You all missed out on the fun part 😄
As you said, Will's attitude was not needed, his action in such a moment wasn't the best but I also think Chris and every other comedian who thinks making fun of people and their family is okay for them deserves more than that slap.
If they feel their job as a comedian is to make fun of people then, they should use their wives and family to crack these jokes at least their family gets to enjoy the money paid to them for the unwelcome jokes they make about people.
I bet no man or woman would watch a joker make fun of their wife or husband in public and be happy about it but they are better ways to pass the message across so that other comedians can take caution too.
I have not heard hateful speech directed to Chris so far but more to Will's about him standing up for a woman who is in an open relationship and all sorts of shit, which I think shouldn't be anyone's business it's his marriage, and he decides whether to forgive his wife or not.
Comedians should be talked to, comedy wasn't meant to harass anyone, so comedians need to come back home and start doing the right thing because e get some jokes wey no funny at all. Let them learn boundaries and keep to them while they struggle to earn their money.
Since a lady is involved, I don't think it will die any sooner nor will her name be forgotten easily. Most men always look for an error so they point accusing fingers at a woman and Facebook is one social media that won't stop pointing hands at Jada's imperfections and how Will let a woman control him to do what he wasn't supposed to do.
That's one too many slaps 😆
It seems we need to gather and beat comedians o
Thanks for reading...I can see your blood is hot 😄 wahala for comedian wey use you play
