The Dictator

It's been ages since I saw a good movie. It is either I didn't have time to see a movie or the ones I came across were not worth it. I decided to go back in time and the movie I saw has made my day for as long as it can last.

The movie, " The Dictator" is a different dimension of fun. From the very first scene to the last scene captured my attention. I would totally classify the movie as a comedy. The humour in the movie is just so amazing. I don't think any movie has made me laugh so hard. I could keep ranting about how good the movie is but I'd leave that for you to decide.

To the plot. Aladeen, a cruel dictator, travelled to the United States of America to address the United Nations Security council. His plans take a swift turn when a hitman hired by his uncle,Tamir, kidnaps him.

At this point, my adrenaline had risen. I thought that Aladeen would be executed and the movie would become boring but the reverse was the case. He found a way to escape from the shackles of the assassin.

His uncle, Tamir, has assumed that the assassin executed him and so, he brought a clone to take over. He trained the clone and told him what to do at every instance. A clone can never be like the real deal after all.

Aladeen was denied access into the hotel because nobody could recognize him. He was identified by his massive beards but the hired had taken that off and so no one could recognize him.

He figured out a way to get back possession of his title but in the process, he fell in love. Life can be a very beautiful thing. No one would believe that a brutal dictator could fall in love with a girl which he described as "a girl in a 14 years old boy's body" crazy right?.

He was a dictator and didn't want anything to do with democracy but like they say, love can make you do crazy things. Zoey, the girl Aladeen fell in love with, changed him.

He had a favourite gesture which signified 'execute him'. He executed anyone who dared go against him and also people who followed his instructions too, brutal indeed.

I don't want to be a movie spoiler but if you have a great sense of humour and you need something to liven your day, I definitely recommend this movie for you. Trust me, it would be worth every single second of your time spent.

To the cast; Sacha Baron Cohen played the role of Aladeen. Anna Faris played Zoey. Megan Fox played Megan. Jason Mantzoukas played Nadal and Ben Kingsley played Tamir.

Just looking at the cast, you should be motivated to watch this beautiful movie. Although it was released on the 16th of May, 2012, the movie is better than some movies produced recently. It's really a must watch. Grab your bowl of popcorn, a chill drink and watch your way to happiness.

With love, wongi ✨
