This Chinese PUBG e-sport movie (Biubiubiu) (2021) does not look so bad

The story seems quite complex, and the action parts are very interesting.

There are relatively few really good e-sports (or video games in general) films, but the Chinese project Biubiubiu could be one of them. The film tells the story of a troubled streamer, who is fighting for custody of his child.

In the meantime, he's trying to put together a new e-sports team and win the next non-PUBG championship.

The filmmakers have tried hard to avoid showing any major PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds features on screen, but anyone who has played the game for more than half an hour will know exactly what Biubiubiu is about.

The really interesting part of it is that the scenes in the game were shot with live action footage, which is a great advantage for the film. In the two trailers we've seen so far, the action looks very loose.

Biubiubiu is supposed to be released only in Japan on 6 August.
