I must admit I'm a fan of this genre, especially when it comes to body-swap stories, and although this film is a bit clichéd, since I feel like there were many similar stories around at that time, the chemistry between the leads struck me as unique and very dynamic; it's what ultimately makes you forget the generic nature of the plot. Furthermore, their performances in the body swaps were very well done, delivering humor effectively, and the exchange is noticeable because their personalities come through very clearly.

The other thing I ended up liking was the depth of the characters. It doesn't show us a Woody who's popular just for the sake of it, or because of his dream of going to Yale, or because his families are feuding. Here, each character has their own development and mutual understanding. By confronting each other's realities, you understand why they are the way they are. It's like being told, "Until you walk in someone else's shoes, you'll never truly understand them." And how many times have we judged without knowing the background? Nobody knows what's going on until you experience their situations. That's why it's a film that invites you to have empathy for others, to not talk about them without knowing their circumstances. Now, what didn't quite work for me was that the actors looked too old to be playing young people in their late twenties 🤔 and, well, it is a bit of a cliché.
