Bienvenidos a un nuevo post para los amantes del cine y de las series, hoy les traigo "El Rey del 11", para aquellos que no son de Buenos Aires, el barrio de Once (también conocido como Balvanera) es históricamente conocido por albergar la comunidad judía más grande de Latinoamérica, y es aquí donde se aloja la pelicular que veremos el dia de hoy. Welcome to a new post for film and TV series lovers! Today I'm bringing you "The King of 11." For those of you who aren't from Buenos Aires, the Once neighborhood (also known as Balvanera) is historically known for housing the largest Jewish community in Latin America, and it's where the film we'll be watching today is set. "Daniel Burman", escritor de esta pelicular es quien cuenta la historia de la comunidad judia, en donde la búsqueda de pertenencia en este sector de buenos aires es constituida desde una mirada religiosa, respetando la alimentación "kósher" o "kosher", que se refiere a la comida que cumple con las leyes de la cashrut del judaísmo, pero la pelicular no se trata solo de esto, sino de la búsqueda del protagonista "Alan Sabbagh" quien protagoniza a "Ariel", quien luego de un debate con su pareja en el extranjero, vuelve a sus origenes en busqueda de su identidad que cree perdida
Daniel Burman, the writer of this film, tells the story of the Jewish community, where the search for belonging in this sector of Buenos Aires is shaped by a religious perspective, respecting "kosher" food, which refers to food that complies with the laws of kashrut in Judaism. But the film is not only about this, but also about the search of the protagonist, Alan Sabbagh, who plays Ariel. After a disagreement with his partner abroad, Ariel returns to his roots in search of an identity he believes he has lost.
En gran parte de la pelicula nos muestra lo caotico que es esta parte de la ciudad, con muchos locales repleto de personas, que por suerte se respeta a esta cultura desde mi opinion, remarca un poco lo caotico y dificil que es adecuarse a una ciudad donde le es ajeno su identidad. Pese a esto, "Ariel" retoma el timon del local de su familia, retomando las actividades religiosas y culturales con el proposito de encontrar un ¿por que?
Much of the film shows the chaotic nature of this part of the city, with many establishments packed with people. Fortunately, this culture is respected, in my opinion, but it also highlights how chaotic and difficult it is to adapt to a city where one's identity is foreign. Despite this, "Ariel" takes back the reins of his family's business, resuming religious and cultural activities in an attempt to find a reason for being.
Cuando cosas pequeñas se nos hacen grandes recuerdos de nuestras infancias es inevitable sentir la nostalgia de lo vivdo, y es en esta perfecta escena donde el protagonista realiza el mismo ritual para comer sus galletitas favoritas con dulce de leche, es aqui donde nos preguntamos si el viaje en busqueda de la felicidad no es mas bien un escape hacia lo que alguna vez nos hizo feliz
When small things become big memories from our childhoods, it's inevitable to feel nostalgia for what we experienced, and it's in this perfect scene where the protagonist performs the same ritual to eat his favorite cookies with dulce de leche. It's here that we wonder if the journey in search of happiness isn't rather an escape to what once made us happy.
Al actor ya lo conocemos, y es a quien traje por la pelicula "El Mejor Infarto De Mi Vida" unos meses atras, en la cual tiene un aire parecido a como va relatando la historia este actor, creo que es una pelicula, mejor dicho, son peliculas que se las recomiendo porque mas alla de la fachada que nos puede traer, esconden profundos mensajes de intersubjetividad y de trabajo interno que para mi es excelente. Sin mas, espero que disfruten de la pelicula ❤️
We already know the actor; he's the one I brought up a few months ago because of the film "The Best Heart Attack of My Life." In that film, he has a similar style to how he narrates the story. I think it's a film—or rather, a series of films—that I recommend because beyond the surface, they hide profound messages of intersubjectivity and inner work, which I find excellent. Todos en algún momento hemos tenido una crisis que nos hace buscar algo para mantenernos a flote; esta parte de tu publicación es muy cierta.
Yo creo que escapamos a donde una vez fuimos felices, olvidando que lo vivido ya no vuelve. Podemos intentar reproducirlo; tal vez obtengamos algún resultado satisfactorio o hasta mejor, como también puede ocurrir todo lo contrario.
Por otro lado, conocer de la existencia de este barrio judío en Buenos Aires ha sido un punto interesante.
