Bienvenidos a un nuevo post para los amantes del cine y de las series, hoy les traigo “Historias cruzadas", una historia conmovedora de lucha de clase frente a la época donde regia "Ku Klux Klan", donde años pocos años antes se había abolido la esclavitud, seguía rigiendo un racismo inundado de odio y rencor frente a gente llena de odio, y que es antes de los 1900 me entristece que hoy 2026 siga habiendo pensamientos de esta envergadura
Welcome to a new post for film and series lovers. Today I bring you "The Help," a moving story of class struggle set during the era of the Ku Klux Klan, a time when slavery had been abolished just a few years prior, yet racism, steeped in hatred and resentment, still reigned. It's saddening that even in 2026, thoughts of this magnitude still exist.
Esta historia me hizo sentir muchas emociones (mas por los momentos que hoy pasa la Argentina) pero la bronca y el odio de ver como fue naturalizado el odio hacia "los otros", hacia las minorias que permanecieron por muchos años bajo el silencio y la vida completamente agobiante y que pudieron sobrevivir me resulta admirable, pero que sirva como total recuerdo de lo absurdamente grotesco que es el humano. Yendo al tema de la pelicula, relata la historia de los negros en esa epoca tan oscura, donde fue posible un cambio gracias a que una mujer acomodada blanca dio espacio a la voz de las "mucamas", quienes representaban un valor real frente a la ausencia de los blancos con sus hijos, y sus abusos cotidianos recibidos por ellos
This story stirred many emotions in me (especially given the current situation in Argentina), but the anger and hatred I feel at seeing how hatred towards "the others," towards the minorities who endured years of silence and oppressive hardship, and who managed to survive, has become normalized is admirable. But it serves as a stark reminder of the absurdly grotesque nature of humanity. Turning to the film itself, it tells the story of Black people during that dark period, where change was made possible thanks to a wealthy white woman who gave voice to the "maids," who represented real value in the face of the absence of white men and their children, and the daily abuse they suffered.
El amor y el compañerismo entre ellas dieron lugar a la salvacion constante frente al sufrimiento cotidiano, dando lugar a la supervivencia y a la risa mientras convivían en el infierno constante, estas mujeres dieron una voz en alto aunque asumiendo las consecuencias, con miedo, para afrontar asi un paso hacia un mejor futuro para su futura generación
The love and camaraderie between them provided constant salvation from daily suffering, leading to survival and laughter as they lived through constant hell. These women raised their voices, even while accepting the consequences, with fear, to take a step towards a better future for their next generation.
Esta mujer dio una pequeña lucha a comparación de lo que hacían las negras para darles la voz, el lugar de la escucha, donde justamente por lo político se dio un lugar en el momento y trabajo adecuado para poder compartir sus historias y así dar voz a las atrocidades que se cometían en esas casas de la clase burgesa de aquella época
This woman waged a small struggle compared to what Black women did to give them a voice, a place to be heard, where, precisely because of the political situation, she found a place at the right time and with the right work to share her stories and thus give voice to the atrocities that were committed in those bourgeois homes of that era.
Una de las pocas personas "blancas" que representaron lo bueno dentro de este cruel mundo dio lugar también a la fuerza necesaria para portar la voz del sufrimiento que vivió antes y el que ahora siguen constantemente sus compañeras. Pero para que suceda esto, fue necesario que sea excluyente el grupo frente a ella, para dar lugar a un espacio de mejor comprensión, y de un amor necesario que repara cualquier herida
One of the few "white" people who represented good in this cruel world also gave rise to the strength needed to voice the suffering she had endured and that her peers continue to suffer. But for this to happen, the group had to be exclusionary towards her, to create a space of greater understanding and the necessary love that heals any wound.
Ellas eran las encargadas de los hijos de los blancos burgueses, y sin escaparse de lo humano terminaban amando a aquellas que luego de grandes cometerían las mismas atrocidades que sus padres, fueron criadas con una mirada distorsionada, pero acompañada de sus mucamas, quienes les daban el amor que sus madres nunca le podrían brindar
They were in charge of the children of the white bourgeoisie, and without escaping the human condition, they ended up loving those who, when they grew up, would commit the same atrocities as their parents. They were raised with a distorted view, but accompanied by their maids, who gave them the love that their mothers could never give them.
