Bienvenidos a un nuevo post para los amantes del cine y de las series, hoy les traigo “Querer", está serie española relata la vida de una familia que luego de 30 años de matrimonio la madre demanda a su pareja, padre de sus hijos, por abuso, esto da un giro contundente de emociones y sentimientos para el espectador, quien no lejos de la "moral" y por lo poco que podemos notar el no saber en qué posición estar (si es que debemos estar de algún lado) nos deja en todo momento expectantes de lo mas atroz posible
Welcome to a new post for film and series lovers. Today I bring you "Querer," this Spanish series tells the story of a family whose 30-year marriage ends with the mother suing her partner, the father of her children, for abuse. This creates a powerful emotional rollercoaster for the viewer, who, not far removed from morality and from what little we can discern, is left unsure of where to stand (if indeed we should stand at all), constantly anticipating the most atrocious outcome possible.
Desde mi lugar siempre estuve del lado de la madre, y aunque un poco de lastima me dió el padre, poco a poco vemos situaciones que reafirmamos su culpabilidad. Está clase de situaciones es más cotidiana de lo que parece, el por ejemplo tener el poder económico en la relación, lo que hace que uno esté subordinado al otro
From my perspective, I always sided with the mother, and although I felt a little sorry for the father, little by little we see situations that reaffirm his guilt. These kinds of situations are more common than they seem; for example, having economic power in the relationship, which leads to one person being subordinate to the other.
El debate familiar entra en primera instancia, dudas, poco apoyo y pocas palabras se le brindan a esta madre que se ve desesperada por huir a una mejor vida, una vida mas libre y sin tanto miedo
No pude evitar la bronca que me generaba el hijo mayor por estar ciegamente del lado del padre sin darle lugar a la madre, pero pudo redimirse y la madre le dió lugar como una buena persona hace frente a los errores ajenos
The family debate begins immediately; doubts, little support, and few words are offered to this mother who seems desperate to escape to a better life, a freer life without so much fear. I couldn't help but feel angry at the eldest son for blindly siding with his father and not giving his mother a chance, but he was able to redeem himself, and his mother gave him space, as a good person does when others make mistakes.
Después vemos cómo amistades en común, (que no quedaban muchas del lado de la madre) daban su veredicto sin saber la verdad y solo escuchando un lado de los portavoces.
Esas amistades que hacen oídos sordos incluso diciendo que hay que ceder en algunas situaciones, culpabilizando a la madre por lo que hizo, sin saber la oscuridad detrás de todo este relato
Then we see how mutual friends (of which there weren't many left on the mother's side) gave their verdict without knowing the truth, having only heard one side of the story. These friends turned a deaf ear, even suggesting that compromise was necessary in some situations, blaming the mother for what she did, unaware of the darkness behind this whole narrative.
Luego vemos abogados y jueces (literalmente) quienes escucharon "objetivamente" y "sin juzgar" el veredicto, dándole la razón al padre. Este momento y muchos más son los que te dan una lección de lo que todo lo que se ve no es lo único que existe, y la oscuridad de una vida silenciada por el dolor, el miedo y la resiliencia hicieron justicia haciendo que los hijos (cuidado con el spoiler) decidan participar con la madre en el resto de la vida
Then we see lawyers and judges (literally) who listened "objectively" and "without judgment" to the verdict, siding with the father. This moment, and many more, teach us that what we see isn't all there is, and the darkness of a life silenced by pain, fear, and resilience brought justice by leading the children (spoiler alert) to choose to share the rest of their mother's life.
Espero que le encanten esta serie corta que la termine en un maraton, atrapante y llena de momentos donde uno se acorrala entre los peores pensamientos, donde vivimos la adrenalina de esa madre desesperada por libertad.
