Bienvenidos a un nuevo post para los amantes del cine y de las series, hoy les traigo "Ratched", una serie dentro de todo nueva, del 2020, justo en plena pandemia de COVID-19, convirtiéndose en un gran éxito durante esos tiempos de confinamiento, ahi fue cuando la conocí y, casi 6 años después se las traigo luego de haberla visto por segunda vez ya que me había olvidado por completo este final tan loco que la serie nos trae. Welcome to a new post for movie and TV series lovers! Today I'm bringing you "Ratched," a relatively new series from 2020, released right in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. It became a huge hit during those times of lockdown, which is when I first discovered it. Almost six years later, I'm sharing it with you after watching it for the second time, as I'd completely forgotten about the crazy ending the series delivers. I've included the Netflix link so you can find it.
La serie comienza muy enfocada en la busqueda de identidad de la protagonista, que sabemos poco y nada, poco a poco vamos recibiendo informacion de su vida y su pasado, se centra en la salud mental en el año 1947, luego de la segunda guerra mundial y es cuando la salud mental toma parametros mucho mas atroses al conocer mucho mas (por la guerra) casos para investigar y trabajar
The series begins very focused on the protagonist's search for identity, about which we know very little. Little by little, we receive information about her life and her past. It centers on mental health in 1947, after the Second World War, when mental health takes on much more atrocious parameters as there are many more cases to investigate and work on (because of the war).
Para Ratched esta aventura es algo ya pensado años atras, luego de descubrir episodios mas adelante la busqueda constante de su hermano, quien tuvieron una infancia tan dificil que les quedo la marca de la supervivencia y de traumas, de una sociedad injusta y dolorosa. En la plena busqueda vemos como es capas de realizar cualquier cosa que se le ponga en el camino para lograr lo que quiere
For Ratched, this adventure was something she had planned years in advance, after discovering later in the series her constant search for her brother, who had such a difficult childhood that it left them scarred by the struggle for survival and the traumas of an unjust and painful society. Throughout her search, we see how she is capable of doing anything that stands in her way to achieve what she wants.
En el camino encontramos personajes destacados de humanidad, y que dentro de la historia seran importantes en destacas, otra cosa para destacar es que esta historia se inspira en hechos y personajes reales, aunque la historia es una precuela ficticia que explora los orígenes de la infame enfermera Mildred Ratched, vemos como los tratamientos psiquiátricos crueles mostrados en la serie, como las lobotomías y la hidroterapia, también son reflejo de prácticas históricas reales.
Along the way, we encounter prominent figures of humanity who will play important roles in the story. Another point to highlight is that this story is inspired by real events and people. Although the story is a fictional prequel exploring the origins of the infamous nurse Mildred Ratched, we see how the cruel psychiatric treatments shown in the series, such as lobotomies and hydrotherapy, also reflect real historical practices.
El jefe se muestra al inicio de la serie como alguien decidido, uniforme, inteligente, pero que luego conocemos que esta huyendo de la muerte, intentando salvarse tanto de su propia locura como de la muerte por haber hecho algo otros en el pasado, pero que dependiendo desde que lugar lo mires, no lo podríamos culpabilizar de lo que sucedió, en este punto la protagonista toma las riendas del hospital psiquiátrico asumiendo responsabilidades, pero lo mas importante, poder... para llegar hacia donde ella quería llegar desde un principio
The chief is initially portrayed as decisive, disciplined, and intelligent, but we later learn that he is fleeing death, trying to save himself from both his own madness and death for something he did to others in the past. However, depending on your perspective, you might not be able to blame him for what happened. At this point, the protagonist takes the reins of the psychiatric hospital, assuming responsibilities, but more importantly, power... to get where she wanted to go from the beginning.
Vemos la vida de estos antagonistas, creadores del miedo del jefe del hospital psiquiátrico, no les spoileare nada, pero es increíble la vuelta que da la serie en todo momento, algo que pensamos que ya esta realizado se puede esfumar en cualquier momento, y como Ratched toma decisiones importantes y rápidas en momentos decisivos. Sin dudas una serie que les recomiendo
We see the lives of these antagonists, the creators of the psychiatric hospital director's fear. I won't spoil anything, but the series' constant twists and turns are incredible. Something we think is settled can vanish at any moment, and Ratched makes crucial and swift decisions in critical moments. Without a doubt, a series I highly recommend.
Espero que disfruten de esta hermosa serie, no es muy larga y en dos o tres fin de semana la llegan a ver, es entretenida, y da mucha importancia a la salud mental. Abrazo enorme cinéfilos de Hive
I hope you enjoy this wonderful series. It's not very long, and you can easily watch it in two or three weekends. It's entertaining and emphasizes the importance of mental health. Big hugs to all you film lovers on Hive!

No he visto esta serie, suena interesante saber que está basada en personajes y hechos reales.
