ENGLISH

Greetings to the @cinetv community, I would like to share with you a series that appeared in my life in a delicate moment, where with much crying, criticism and affection I attribute an excellent personal score to Bojack Horseman .
Of course this series is part of many others, where the animation, jokes, context touches topics where thought can go beyond, such as "Rick and Morty", "The Midnight Gospel", and others perhaps better known as "American Dad".

Before I continue, my intention with this post is to give my point of view with the series, as it personally has a significant importance, it is only a personal post, thank you❤️

I leave you the Netflix shortcut: https://www.netflix.com/title/70300800

The series is about a horse named Bojack Horseman, of course.
Actor who in the 90's was all the rage for a series about a single father raising 3 children. In this world the main character suffers a lot from his past, with family problems that unfortunately he couldn't cope with, I think it shows a clear example of life in society, where we don't give much importance to mental health. Well, continuing with the problems of childhood, Bojack struggles with depressive attacks, anxiety, stress/stress, that afflict him day by day, also a lack of those supports that we always go when we are at our lowest and, obviously without generalizing, they can serve to give us a push and continue with better conditions.
A somewhat egocentric character, but not entirely positive, since it is said that he is a failure, that the only thing he had is fame with that series, and that is the only thing he could achieve.

Here we can take examples of this modern society that has had this system for many years, where individual exploitation to show happiness externally, without achieving what perhaps one wants internally.

He attributes himself as someone who hurts, and needs the acceptance of the other to be well, even if he is angry, he spends episodes with another main character of the series "Diane" who would be his ghost writer of his life, and in one particular episode without going into spoiler details he asks her if he is a good person and asks her by way of complaint, to tell him that he is a good person.
These feelings of guilt show a clear weakening in the horse's psyche, where the need for the gaze of the other is key to his well-being, or to soothe something that is much more a matter of the past.

Original painting: David Hockney

This painting appears in the protagonist's office, originally created (with human characters) by "David Hockney".
From the concept of art, each subject is free to interpret this painting, from the series I can deduce that it is about two bodies for the same subject, that other body that is "outside" the pool that could be "reality", is the one who looks at you while you live. For bojack it is something difficult, to see in him the difficult task of dealing with the problems of the childhood he had, those that mark us for life and it depends on each one of us, on the tools we acquire to deal with those marks mentioned.
The first step is to realise that, and bojack shows us a clear example of learning from mistakes, and also from his friends, to give him another chance.
Within the series there are several frames, also making reference to each of the episodes and events that happen in each one.

It contains 6 seasons with 77 episodes, I invite you to see each of these magnificent episodes, where they try not only to entertain, but to show that "humanity" in the animation, said by the same dubbing actors "The paradox is that the animals star in a crude comedy about the human condition and about a person who does not know how to move forward (...) We parody the absurdity of this world interested in the baseness of the famous. It's the most dramatic thing I've ever done. Raphael Bob-Waksberg and I came out of the filming shattered".

It contains a lot of social traits, family, themes that maybe if you are going through a delicate moment you'd better skip it, without going into too much catastrophic detail, personally it touched my heart, maybe because of the way I am, but we can't forget that this series is created by humans.
It contains failed relationships, also dysfunctional family, who in the future marks a major change in the protagonist, in one of my favourite scenes, bojack's mother calls him on the phone and says:

You are Bojack Horseman and there is no cure for it. -I'm sorry -What? -Yes, but it's not your fault, you know, your father and I, well, you inherited all that, that ugliness inside you, you were born broken, it's your privilege and now you can fill your life with projects, your books, your movies and your girlfriends, but none of that will fill you up.

Something that for my life, beyond being a favorite scene in the series, is something that marked my relationship with my mother, so it is difficult for me not to leave the link of that moment here, so mythical in itself: https://es-la.facebook.com/BoJackEspanol/videos/eres-bojack-horseman-no-hay-cura-para-eso/999543176900228/

Unfortunately it already had its end, those 77 episodes are the only ones that there will be of Bojack Horseman, for me a very good 77 episodes that for 6 years gave a lot to talk about.
I am not in favor of putting a score on something, if so, such qualifying criticism would be personal. I only recommend them to you, and I hope you like it as much as I do, and that you find in it that beyond entertaining, which is purely "art"

Cuadro original: David Hockney
