The adventures of Arsene Lupin, the central character of the novel written by Maurice Leblanc serve as a source of inspiration for the staging of the French series Lupin. In this series, Assane Diop puts all his ingenuity and creativity to create the most elaborate strategies to carry out his robberies.

Assane Diop is the son of Babakar Diop, who after getting a job as a chauffeur for the Pellegrini family, is blamed for the theft of a valuable jewel and, therefore, is sentenced to prison, leaving Assane alone as a teenager.

Despite an unpromising future, he receives anonymous help from a person who allows him to attend a prestigious school where he will meet two characters who will accompany him throughout his life and together they share a great number of adventures that bring them closer and closer together.

This suspense series of 2021, was created by George Kay and François Uzan and the direction was in charge of **Marcela Said, Ludovic Bernard and Louis Leterrier, being this one of the qualities that add value to the series, since, according to the critics, each one added his touch to it.

Each was in charge of directing several chapters of the series. Regarding the cinematographic work of these directors, Marcela Said has directed several films and documentaries, among them Perros, Opus Dei and El Verano de los Peces Voladores.

Ludovic Bernard, for his part, has directed films such as El ascenso and Misión País Vasco. Meanwhile, Louis Leterrier demonstrated his versatility in films such as The Transporter 1 and 2, The Illusionists and The Incredible Hulk.

On the other hand, the starring Omar Sy with Ludivine Sagnier, Clotilde Hesme and Vincent Londez, gives us in each chapter interesting moments of suspense and intrigue that, little by little, is gaining our interest.

Particularly, the work of Omar Sy, who plays Assane Diop is very good. He manages to hook us with his eloquence, charisma and excellent acting. After an exhaustive research, I discovered that Sy is a comic actor and, not only that, it turns out that this gentleman of Senegalese origin participated in the movie Untouchable Friends released in 2011 and its direction was in charge of Olivier Nakache and Éric Toledano.

After discovering this, came to me several sequences of this simple but substantial plot based on the sincere friendship between two diametrically opposed men, a film that is also worth seeing.

I said I knew him.

Although this series is based on the stories of the character Arsene Lupin, it is not a period story, it is set in France and you can see how museums and important places in that country are mentioned.

However, although it is clear that I like this series, I couldn't help but wonder how such a great man could go unnoticed, but well, that's how good stories are: so good that they can make you overlook certain details.

Characters:

Assane Diop: is a cunning thief and gentleman. He loses his father when he was just a teenager. Assane Diop suspects that something strange happened with the death of his father and decides to discover the truth and avenge his death.

Babakar Diop: is a man who wants to take care of his son and provide him with a better quality of life. He is a driver for the Pelegrini family. He is a victim of the power of the family and suffers a punishment he did not remember, leading him to make a decision that impacts on the life of Assane Diop.

Claire: She is a blonde woman. Assane's great love, with whom he has a son named Raoul. She knows this gentleman better than anyone and, although she tries to keep him away from her son, she will always be on his side. They have known each other since they were very young.

Romain: he is Assane's best friend, which shows that every protagonist needs someone to trust and this is the case with this character, whose loyalty to the main character is unwavering (at least so far),

Juliette Pellegrini: she is Hubert Pellegrini's daughter. She has been interested in Assane Diop since she was very young, but due to irreconcilable differences between him and her father, they were never able to make anything happen. Eventually, they meet again. She suspects her father, but is not sure of anything.

Hubert Pellegrini: This gentleman is the powerful and corrupt character of the series. Capable of doing anything to maintain his position, including blaming others for false crimes and ordering assassinations. This is Assane's number 1 enemy.

Anne Pellegrini: she is the wife of Hubert Pellegrini. She is the typical wife who knows that her husband is evil and hides very delicate things, but who does not have the courage to leave her husband. However, this does not prevent her from acting against her husband if the case warrants it.

Undoubtedly, this series has the necessary ingredients to give us a story full of shocking, subtle and funny moments, for that reason, I invite you to watch it and enjoy it.

Las aventuras de Arsene Lupin, personaje central de la novela escrita por Maurice Leblanc sirven como fuente de inspiración para la puesta en escena de la serie francesa Lupin. Serie en la que Assane Diop pone todo su ingenio y creatividad para crear las estrategias más elaboradas para realizar sus robos.

Esta serie de suspenso del 2021, fue creada por George Kay y François Uzan y la dirección estuvo a cargo de Marcela Said, Ludovic Bernard y Louis Leterrier, siendo esta una de las cualidades que le aportan valor a la serie, ya que, según la crítica, cada uno le añadió su toque a la misma.

Por otro lado, el protagonista Omar Sy junto a Ludivine Sagnier, Clotilde Hesme y Vincent Londez, nos regala en cada capítulo interesantes momentos de suspenso e intrigas que, de a poco, va ganando nuestro interés.

Particularmente, el trabajo de Omar Sy, quien interpreta a Assane Diop es muy bueno. Logra engancharnos con su elocuencia, carisma y excelente actuación. Después de una exhaustiva investigación, descubrí que Sy es un actor cómico y, no sólo eso, resulta que este caballero de origen senegalés participó en la película Amigos Intocables estrenada en el 2011 y su dirección estuvo a cargo de Olivier Nakache y Éric Toledano.

Después de descubrir esto, vinieron a mí varias secuencias de esa sencilla, pero sustanciosa trama basada en la amistad sincera entre dos hombre diametralmete opuestos un film que también vale a pena ver.

Ya decía yo que lo conocía.

Esta serie aunque está basada en las historias del personaje Arsene Lupin, no es una historia de época, ésta se desarrolla en Francia y puede verse como se hace mención a museos y lugares importantes de ese país.

No obstante, aunque queda claro que esta serie goza de mi total agrado, no podía dejar de preguntarme como es que un hombre tan grande como ese, podía pasar inadvertido, pero bueno, así son las historias buenas: tan buenas que pueden llegar a hacer pasar por alto ciertos detalles.

Personajes:

Assane Diop: es un astuto ladrón y caballero. Pierde a su padre cuando sólo era un adolescente. Assane Diop sospecha que pasó algo extraño con la muerte de su padre y decide descubrir la verdad y vengar su muerte.

Babakar Diop: es un hombre que busca cuidar de su hijo y brindale una mejor calidad de vida. Es chófer de los Pelegrini. Es víctima del poder de la familia y sufre un castigo que no memerecía llevándolo a tomar una decisión que impacta en la vida de Assane Diop.

Claire: Es una mujer rubia. El gran amor de Assane, con el que tiene un hijo llamado Raoul. Ella conoce mejor que nadie a este caballero y, aunque intenta alejarlo de su hijo, siempre estará de su lado. Se conocen desde muy jóvenes.

Romain: es el mejor amigo de Assane, lo que demuestra que todo protagonista necesita en quien confiar y es el caso de este personaje, cuya lealtad hacia el personaje principal es inquebrantable (al menos hasta ahora),

Juliette Pellegrini: es la hija Hubert Pellegrini. Está interesada en Assane Diop desde muy joven, pero por diferencias irreconciliables entre él y su padre, nunca pudieron concretar nada. Con el tiempo, vuelven a encontrarse. Ella sospecha de su padre, pero no tiene certezas de nada.

Hubert Pellegrini: Este señor es el personaje poderoso y corrupto de la serie. Capaz de hacer lo que sea para seguir manteniendo su posición, incluyendo culpar a otros de falsos delitos y mandar a asesinar. Este es el enemigo número 1 de Assane.

Anne Pellegrini: Es la esposa de Hubert Pellegrini. Es la típica esposa que sabe que su marido es malo y esconde cosas muy delicadas, pero que no tiene el valor de abandonar a su marido. Sin embargo, esto no le impide actuar en contra de su marido si el caso lo amerita.

Sin duda, esta serie tiene los ingredientes necesarios para brindarnos una historia llena de momentos impactantes, sutiles y divertidos, por esa razón, te invito a verla y disfrutarla.
