Una noche le encomiendan a Marcus un trabajo de eliminar a unos hombres en un restaurante, al que casualmente llega su esposa, tras recibir un mensaje del teléfono de su esposo que le indicaba que se vieran en ese lugar, pues todo termina siendo una trampa, con el fin de que ella estuviera en el lugar equivocado.

Al ver a Marcus, su esposa va detrás de él sin que esté pueda notarlo, él va se enfrenta a los hombres a punta de pistola y cuando va a salir de la habitación, se encuentra que detrás de la puerta estaba su esposa, quien había Sido herida de gravedad de múltiples disparos y murió en sus brazos.

Este hecho cambio por completo la vida de Marcus, a quien vemos un año después tratando de sobrellevar la vida junto a su pequeña hija, contando ahora con el apoyo de su suegra.
Es entonces cuando Marcus en el anonimato recibe una propuesta para realizar un trabajo importante que le dejaría una cantidad muy buena de dinero, este la rechaza, pues en ese momento lo más importante era la seguridad de su hija.

Más adelante, se conoce todo lo relacionado con la muerte de la esposa de Marcus y el culpable, así como al nuevo movimiento que debían enfrentarse luego de una batalla del todo contra todos entre el gremio de asesinos.
