Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F (2024): Old Vibes With New Flavor

Sometimes I will just moving around thinking of what to do after which I will have done most of the domestic chores cos am the kind that use to make room in good tidings and neat to my satisfaction.

Then I can thought of watching movie and see what I come across to watch is Beverly hills cop, I love the film and I have to share my own review on it. Also remember watching the old Beverly Hills Cop movies with Eddie Murphy when I was younger, so this one felt like going back in time a bit. The difference now is that it’s 2024, everything looks shinier and faster, but the main man is still the same funny Axel Foley.

The story this time is about Axel coming back to Beverly Hills after his daughter get into some trouble. She is a lawyer and got caught up in something dangerous, and of course Axel being Axel as he does always he can’t just sit back, he jump right in. From there the movie mix comedy, action, and some family drama too. I like and love how they make it about father and daughter, it give more sense of emotional heart to the story.

Eddie Murphy still got it, even though you feel that Ageing of his look now the way he talk, his quick jokes, his crazy confidence still there and it made me laugh more than once. Some of the jokes didn’t land as much as before, maybe because times have change, but still his energy carry the movie. Also seeing some of the old cast like Judge Reinhold and John Ashton appear again made it feel like a reunion, which was nice for fans of the old series.

The action scenes were good enough, not over the top like some modern movies, but still plenty very much to keep you watching. There are cars chases, shooting, and Axel doing things in his own untraditional way. For me the fun was not just the action but how Axel mix comedy into serious moments. That balance is what make Beverly Hills Cop special.

Now I won’t lie, the movie is close to perfect but nothing is perfect , everybody has its own view and perspective of a thing but some parts felt predictable, like you already know what is coming before it happen. Also the story is kind of simple, nothing very deep or surprising. But maybe that is the point it is just meant to entertain and bring back old vibes, not to win awards.

Oh see, I won't lie I really enjoy watching Beverly Hills Cop Axel F. It give me both reason and also fresh laughs. If you ever like the old movies, you will probably enjoy this one too. For me it was worth of the time I sacrifice for watching it.
