I must say the fact this is one of the action movie I fell for in 2025, I just don't know how interesting it is for me to share this movie but as to what understand when I watched it, am just happy to write this post on it.

It is not even plan to watch it at first, but a friend recommended and I just gave it a try. I’m glad I did because the movie turn out to be a tense ride that keep me to it from beginning to end.

The story is about a young TSA agent at the airport who gets blackmailed by a mysterious man during Christmas time. The man force him to allow a dangerous bag to pass security without checking, kno this explain what makes us human and from there everything start going wild. I like the set up because it was simple but at the same time very realistic. It make me think how much power airport workers hold and how dangerous it can be if someone push them into wrong choice.

Taron Egerton who play the role of TSA officer and he really did well. You can feel his fear and confusion, like he is just a normal guy caught in something way bigger than him. And the villain, played by Jason Bateman, was also very surprising to me. He is not the usual loud bad guy, he is calm, quiet but still very scary. That type of acting make the movie feel more real. Just like opposite of each other.

One thing I like also is how the movie use the airport space. The tight corners, the crowd, the pressure of holiday rush, all of that add to the suspense in the movies play It was just action mix motion, it was the waiting, the decisions, the moral struggle. At one point I was even thinking what would I do if I was in his shoes he was because the movie make you question that if you really understand.

But still, I won’t lie, some parts of the movie felt a little slow. There were moments where they drag the scenes too much, like they just wanted to stretch the tension. Also the ending, even though good, I kind of saw it coming. Maybe I have watch too many thrillers, but I guessed some of the twist before they happen.

Still I must confess that, in overall assessment Carry-On is a strong thriller. It is not too long, the acting is solid, and the idea is fresh compared to some other recycled action movies. For me it was worth the time, and I think anybody who enjoy suspense and smart villains will probably like this one too to enjoy during their leisure time.
