Since its release in 2014, Dracula: Untold has been my favorite vampire movie; in my heart, no other has replaced it; but if you have a different opinion, it doesn't matter; it's a matter of personal taste. This film is an alternative story about the origin of this character, with a great tale of struggle and, of course, his great love.
From the beginning, we know the story perfectly, narrated by the voice of a child, whom we will later learn is the son of Vlad the Impaler, whom the world will know simply as Dracula. Today I rewatched Dracula: Untold to remember the details and be able to write this post, and I can tell you that this film has aged very well; everything still looks beautiful; it's a pleasure to enjoy it again.
Desde el 2014 que se estrenó Drácula La Leyenda jamás contada ha sido mi película de Vampiros preferida, en mi corazón no la ha reemplazado ninguna; pero si tienes una opinión diferente no importa, es cuestión de gustos personales. Esta película es una historia alternativa sobre el origen de este personaje, con una gran historia de lucha y por supuesto de su gran amor.
Desde el principio conocemos perfectamente la historia, siendo narrada por la voz de un niño, que más adelante sabremos es el hijo de Vlad El Empalador, a quien el mundo conocerá como simplemente Drácula. Hoy he vuelto a ver Drácula, la leyenda jamás contada para recordar detalles y poder realizar este post, y les digo que esta película ha envejecido muy bien, todo se sigue viendo precioso, da gusto volver a disfrutarla.
The film tells the story of how, in 1442, a Turkish Sultan enslaved 10,000 children from Transylvania (Romania) to join his army. One of those children became a feared warrior, known as Vlad the Impaler (whose own name was, well, impaling his enemies). As an adult, Vlad, tormented by everything he had done, returned to Transylvania, married, and had a son and a people he ruled peacefully.
However, the Turkish army once again demands 1,000 more young men for its army to take to its conquests in Hungary and Vienna. Vlad is unwilling to allow this, and will do the unthinkable to protect his people. Vlad will make a pact with an ancient creature hiding in a cave known as the Master Vampire, who gives him supernatural powers such as incredible strength, speed and the ability to turn into a bandana of bats to defeat the Turkish army, but he must resist drinking human blood for 3 days, otherwise he will become a Vampire forever.
La película cuenta como en 1442, un Sultán Turco esclavizó a 10000 niños de Transilvania (Rumania) para sumarlos a su ejército. Uno de esos niños se hizo un guerrero muy temido, conocido como Vlad El Empalador (que hacía lo propio pues... empalar a sus enemigos). Ya adulto, Vlad atormentado por todo lo que hizo regresa a Transilvania, se casó y tiene un hijo y un pueblo al que gobierna en paz.
Sin embargo, de nuevo el ejército Turco reclama 1000 jóvenes más para su ejército y llevar a sus conquistas en Hungría y Viena, lo que no está dispuesto a permitir Vlad, y hará lo impensable para proteger a su pueblo. What I told you before is the beginning of a great war story between Vlad and his people, defending his family against the gigantic Turkish army, loyalties, strategies, mystery, and a beautiful love story.
The film is interesting from the first minute, and the climax is incredibly exciting. Everything feels very fast. There's no time or space to get bored with this film. It's actually short, lasting only an hour and a half. I would have liked to see more of it. The ending is truly original; it's not at all predictable, even though it's about a character we know. This alternative story is simply beautiful, one I'll stick with and wouldn't trade for any other.
Lo que te conté anteriormente, es el inicio de una gran historia de guerra entre Vlad para defender a su pueblo y a su familia, contra el gigantesco ejército Turco, lealtades, estrategias, misterio y una hermosa historia de amor.
La película es interesante desde el minuto 1, y el clímax es demasiado emocionante, todo se siente muy rápido, no hay tiempo o espacios para aburrirte con esta película, y es que en realidad es corta ya que solo dura 1 hora y media, me hubiese gustado ver más de ella. El final es realmente original, no es nada predecible aunque se trate de un personaje que conocemos, es simplemente hermosa esta historia alternativa, con la que me quedo y no la cambio por ninguna otra.

The visual effects, such as Vlad's transformation into bats and supernatural powers, were impressive and very well done. Despite being a 2014 film, they still look great. It's a film that is aging very well. In this same sense, the makeup is also excellent.
The performances of the entire cast were magnificent, but we must highlight the outstanding performance of Luke Evans, who stole every scene he appeared in, demonstrating character, desperation, and love in every moment required. I met this actor in this film, and I have admired him greatly ever since.
- La inteligente fusión de 3 historias en una sola narrativa de forma muy equilibrada:
1- La naturaleza sombría de Drácula
2- La pureza de un amor verdadero entre Vlad, su esposa y el amor por su hijo.
3- La lucha contra la dominación y esclavitud del enorme ejército Turco, sobre esta población de Transilvania (Rumania)
Los Efectos Visuales como las transformaciones de Vlad en murciélagos y los poderes sobre naturales, fueron impresionantes y están muy bien logrados, hacen que a pesar de ser una película del 2014, aún se vean muy bien , es una película que está envejeciendo muy bien el tiempo. En este mismo sentido también el maquillaje es excelente.
Las actuaciones de todo el reparto estuvieron magníficas, pero hay que destacar la sobresaliente actuación de Luke Evans, quien se robó cada escena en la que apareció, demostrando carácter, desesperación y amor en cada momento que lo requería. A este actor lo conocí en esta película, y desde entonces lo admiro muchísimo.
I think that, although it's certainly a Dracula movie and it's the main plot, they did include two subplots as strong as the fight against the Turkish army and a love story so pure and strong; they should have given these two more development, since they're only practically hinted at in the film, without further development. It all rests on the shoulders of Luke Evans' performance, which he absolutely nailed, but I think they should have given us more of the two subplots.
I can tell you in advance that it had an open ending, that I loved it, it moved me, it made me feel many things (I can't tell you), but I've been waiting for Part 2 of this story since 2014, and it still hasn't been released. Although I've heard rumors at various times that it will be released soon, I'm still waiting, especially because Luke Evans is in excellent physical condition to continue playing our Prince of Darkness, and I would love to see him again.
Creo que, aunque ciertamente es una película de Drácula y es la trama principal, si incluyeron dos sub tramas tan fuertes como la lucha contra el ejército Turco y una historia de amor tan puro y fuerte; debieron darle más desarrollo a éstas dos, ya que solo están casi que planteadas en la película, sin mayor desarrollo. Todo está sobre los hombros de la actuación de Luke Evans, que lo logró absolutamente, pero pienso que debieron darnos más de las dos sub tramas.
Te adelanto que tuvo un final abierto, que lo amé, me emocionó, me hizo sentir muchas cosas (no te lo puedo contar), pero desde el 2014 estoy esperando la parte 2 de esta historia y aún no la han sacado, aunque he escuchado rumores en varios momentos de que pronto saldrá, pues aún la espero, sobre todo porque Luke Evans se encuentra en excelente condición física para seguir interpretando a nuestro Príncipe de las Tinieblas y amaría verlo nuevamente.
I recommend it 100% as I told you it is my favorite Vampire movie, you will enjoy a very beautiful and exciting story, an alternative story that perhaps the purists of the more gothic version of Dracula will not like, but it is a matter of taste, I do not think one is better than the other, it is always subject to the experience we want to live in a movie or series.
La Recomiendo al 100% como les dije es mi película de Vampiro preferida, disfrutarán de una historia muy bella y emocionante, una historia alternativa que tal vez a los puristas de la versión más gótica de Drácula no les agrade, pero es cuestión de gustos, no creo que una sea mejor que otra, siempre está sujeta a la experiencia que deseamos vivir en una película o serie.

Aquí hay muchas cosas que me atrae la atención para verla, primero tu review es estupenda, segundo el protagonista es un bombón, tambien la trama de los vampiros y que por supuesto habla un poco de la cultura turca, me encanta, tengo que verla.
Esta película es muy buena, me gusta bastante. Para mí es una reinterpretación moderna del clásico que lo hace muy emocionante y entretenido, aunque concuerdo en que las subtramas sí se debieron desarrollar mejor. Igual hicieron un gran trabajo con esta versión que creo de volver a verla, me seguiría gustando bastante.
