CineTV Contest: Troy my favorite Brad Pitt movie
Happy start to the week, today I share with you my participation in the CineTV Contest, about my favorite Brad Pitt movie.
Feliz inicio de semana, hoy comparto con ustedes mi participación en el Concurso de CineTV, sobre mi película favorita de Brad Pitt.
Troy (2004)
Before I considered this actor only as a leading man, in my country it is common for men who think they are very handsome to be called Brad Pitt as a joke, because it was usual to see newspapers and magazines that named him as one of the leading men in Hollywood , but after seeing the movie Troy I noticed that he was a great actor, this movie is the longest I've ever seen, it caught my attention because it was about Greek mythology, about The Odyssey that my daughters studied so much in their literature classes but that I knew very little, but this movie kept me attentive at every minute and I understood many references that people made when they talked about the Achilles heel, I even remembered when my daughter told me about Trojan horse viruses in computers, in a way I learned history and popular culture.
Antes consideraba a este actor solo como un galán, en mi país es común que a los hombres que se creen muy guapos les llaman Brad Pitt a manera de chiste, porque era usual ver periódicos y revistas que lo nombraban como uno de los galanes de Hollywood, pero luego de ver la película Troya noté que era un gran actor, esta película es la más larga que he visto, me llamó la atención porque trataba de mitología griega, de La Odisea que tanto estudiaron mis hijas en sus clases de literatura pero que yo sabía muy poco, pero esta película me mantuvo atenta en cada minuto y entendí muchas referencias que hacían las personas cuando hablaban del talón de Aquiles, incluso recordé cuando mi hija me hablaba de los virus troyanos de las computadoras, de cierto modo aprendí historia y cultura popular.
Brad Pitt's role was that of Achilles, the strongest warrior of Greece, I was amazed by the actor's ability not only to maintain a strong appearance, but to show in the fight scenes that he really was, I don't know what kind of special training he had to play the actor but he learned to handle the sword well and all the movements they did didn't seem like just a choreography for a movie, it gave the impression that he is really fighting with his whole body.
El papel de Brad Pitt fue el de Aquiles, el guerrero más fuerte de Grecia, me asombró la capacidad del actor no solo para mantener una apariencia fuerte ,sino demostrar en las escenas de peleas que realmente lo era, no se que tipo de entrenamiento especial tuvo que hacer el actor pero aprendió a manejar bien la espada y todo los movimientos que hacían no parecían solo una coreografía para una película, daba la impresión que realmente está peleando con todo su cuerpo.
At the beginning of the film, the character of Achilles appears distant, self-centered and capricious, but as he progresses he becomes very emotional, when his cousin Patroclus is killed is where we see that the actor shows a sad face but at the same time it becomes rage, that's why he takes revenge against Hector, but the actor also demonstrates how he later allows the king of Troy to take Hector's body and have a truce of 12 days, that is to say that after quenching all his rage his reasoning returns and it is seen that he respects his enemies but even so he is not distracted from the idea of finishing for them, these mixed feelings are even stronger when in the final battle he sees Hector's cousin with whom he had fallen in love and this was the which is why they stick the arrow into his ankle from behind without him noticing.
Al principio de la película el personaje de Aquiles se muestra distante, egocéntrico y caprichoso, pero a medida que va avanzando se muestra muy emocional, cuando matan a su primo Patroclo es donde vemos que el actor demuestra un rostro de tristeza pero que al mismo tiempo se convierte en rabia, por eso cobra venganza contra Hector, pero el actor también demuestra como luego le permite al rey de Troya llevarse el cuerpo de Héctor y tener una tregua de 12 días, es decir que luego de saciar toda su rabia su razonamiento regresa y se ve que respeta a sus enemigos pero aun así no se distrae de la idea de acabar por ellos, estos sentimientos encontrados se ven aún más fuertes cuando en la batalla final ve a la prima de Hector de quien se había enamorado y esta fue la causa por la cual le clavan la flecha en el tobillo por detrás sin que se diera cuenta.
For me Brad Pitt is a great actor because he was able to play the role of a character like Achilles, who goes from a state of disinterest in the war and egocentrism, to an emotional role where he would not be at peace until he takes revenge but even getting his revenge this is not he would leave him alone because he was in love with a woman who was a family of his enemies and also that would not return his cousin. I believe that not every actor would have the capacity to bear the physical demands of that film plus the task of representing those emotions, so he did it excellent.
Para mi Brad Pitt es un gran actor porque pudo representar el papel de un personaje como Aquiles, quien pasa de un estado de desinterés por la guerra y egocentrismo, a un papel emocional donde no estaría en paz hasta vengarse pero aún consiguiendo su venganza esto no lo dejaría en paz porque estaba a enamorado de una mujer que era familia de sus enemigos y ademas eso no le regresaría a su primo. Yo creo que no cualquier actor tendría la capacidad de soportar la exigencia física de esa película más la tarea de representar esas emociones, así que él lo hizo excelente.
