"How to Train Your Dragon" My Review
Waiting patiently for the time the amazing How to Train Your Dragon movie would be released because I've gotten used to animation that I can't get my eyes off of. And what I didn't know was that the wait was gonna be over soon, but then I didn't know it was gonna be this soon, because it is too soon, and I feel super excited when I saw the trailer.
The plot
"How to Train Your Dragon" tells the story of how dragons have been frequently attacking the Viking village of Berk, stealing food from the villagers, and destroying their homes.
Hiccup, the son of the chieftain Stoick the Vast, attempts to create a mechanical device that would make him overcome his weakness because he isn't a dragon killer. During a dragon raid, Hiccup shoots down a rare dragon known as the "night furry," the strongest among the other dragons.
Hiccup, vowing to prove himself, searches for the dragon. To his greatest surprise, he came across the dragon, helpless and wounded. Upon seeing the dragon in such a condition, he couldn't kill it; rather, he compassionately released it.
Hiccup was enrolled in a dragon-fighting class with the other local teens, and Hiccup's crush was in the class as well. Hiccup was being mocked by his classmates, which resulted in his struggling in class.
Hiccup returns to the forest after the close of every class to check on the dragon "Night Fury" and finds out that the dragon can't fly. Hiccup befriends the dragon and names him "Toothless" because when he first encountered the dragon, he didn't see teeth in his mouth till the moment the dragon opened his mouth to eat, and teeth started growing.
Hiccup builds a harness, saddle, and prosthetic fin to enable the dragon fly again, and to his greatest surprise, it worked. Toothless can fly again with the help of Hiccup. With the time spent with "toothless," Hiccup learns about the behaviors of dragons, which enable him to pass every test in class.
In his final exam, he was asked to kill a dragon, but he wanted to show the whole village how peaceful dragons can be. However, the town chief refused and enraged the monstrous nightmare, causing Toothless to emerge from his hiding to protect Hiccup, and he was captured by the Vikings.
"Will the Vikings live peacefully with dragons?".
My Review
Firstly, growing up, I got really attracted to movies like this. I just grew this love for such movies, and then I found myself not missing out on any movie that contains the features of a "dragon".
The casting is perfect- pitch, the actors brought out the light in the movie and I loved how real every action felt. The senses the dragons possess blew my mind away. I love Hiccup's story. From being scared of killing a dragon, and being mocked by the Vikings and teen Vikings for being a weakling, to becoming a brave dragon trainer.
This live-action "How to Train Your Dragon" is a masterpiece that I didn't expect to turn out like this. I'm glad it exceeded my expectations. The story is absolutely heart-warming and adventurous, and not forgetting the plot twist that got me giggling with excitement. The movie kept me on the edge of my seat all through, the characters felt alive. And the chemistry that existed between Hiccup and Toothless carries the same magic, just like the animation.
I'm gonna rate this incredible masterpiece a 9/10 for bringing my favorite animation to a live action that blew my mind away.

You are welcome 🤗
The effects were amazing...
This is one live action that I'm quite happy about✨
Thank you so much
I can totally relate to what you said about watching movies that contains dragons. I have had this obsession with dragon movies since I saw the movie Game of Throne. I also loved this movie a lot, but I have seen just the animation own and not the one with real people. Hiccup was such a loveable character but of course, I love the dragons more. This was such a great review, you really captured the essence of the movie.
Hiccup was calm and loving, I love how he suddenly developed love for Toothless, and their bond is something I admire a lot.
I’ve seen this show going about in the internet for a while now. And I think it gives Game of thrones vibes and I somehow didn’t want to watch it because I thought it would be trash.
Yeah, and I think seeing it on the internet shows you have to see it for yourself. And I believe you will love it. Trust me.
I will.
I love your review
Thank you so much dear
This is amazing. I've watched the animated one multiple times already (all the seasons lol). I love dragons, I can totally relate to it giving the Game of Thrones vibe. I did watch it the moment it came out, and I loved how the dragons look as similar as the ones in the cartoon.
This was a nice review. Keep it up.
Then I think you should watch this live action. You will even love it more
