[Movie] How to Train Your Dragon 2025: Spoiler-Free Review
Greetings, hugs, and blessings to all. I wanted to tell you that in 2010 I saw a movie that I absolutely loved called How to Train Your Dragon. I saw it at the theater with my older sister and her children. I thought I wouldn't like it because it was animated, but I sometimes underestimate animated films, and they've pleasantly surprised me.
I recently saw this movie again, but a live-action adaptation: How to Train Your Dragon 2025. This time I saw it with my children, and let me tell you, it was an excellent choice; my children loved it.

The film is set on an island called Berk, where the daily life of the Vikings is defined by an ancient and brutal war against the dragons that occasionally roam the village. It is here that Hiccup (Mason Thames) appears, the likeable, funny, but clumsy and misunderstood son of the tribe's chief, played by the character of the great giant (Gerard Butler). Hiccup desperately tries to prove his worth and fit into a society centered on hunting and combat. Things change drastically when Hiccup manages to bring down a Night Fury, the most mysterious, feared, and lethal dragon species known to his people, using an invention. However, instead of killing the beast, the young man discovers a wounded and defenseless creature, whom he decides to name Toothless. By secretly forming an unusual bond of trust, Hiccup discovers the true nature of these beings, questioning everything he has been taught since childhood and challenging the imposed traditions and truths of Viking society.

I really enjoyed the relationship that Hiccup and Toothless developed throughout the story. There were action and suspenseful scenes, as well as some very sentimental ones. It's a great movie to watch with the family because it highlights values like love, friendship, courage, and trust, and above all, it teaches parents not to force their beliefs and way of thinking on their children.
I highly recommend it; it's a movie worth watching. I assure you, you won't waste your time. It's absolutely wonderful and leaves us with a good moral lesson.
Thanks for reading my review, blessings.

Totally agree with you! I loved this movie too. The bond between Hiccup and Toothless is just beautiful and touching. Also, I completely agree that it leaves a great lesson about empathy, questioning what we're taught, and the value of true friendship. An excellent adaptation! 💚
