Good Omens - Amazon Prime Video.
Last month, one of the most exciting finales arrived on Prime Video, a series that carved out a niche for itself with a loyal fanbase over its run. A series that touched many hearts, including mine. As a huge fan of drama and comedy, I must say that discovering this show brought me some of the best moments as a viewer and a loyal Prime Video subscriber.
El mes pasado llegó uno de los finales más emocionantes a Prime Video, una serie que hizo su lugar con muchos fans fieles, que obtuvo a lo largo de los años que esta duró. Una serie que ha llegado a muchos corazones, incluyéndome a mí, como gran fanática del drama y la comedia debo decir que haber descubierto esta serie me trajo de los mejores momentos como televidente y fiel a Prime Video.
I remember starting to watch this series when its second season premiered, and it was mostly because of the posters, which I found very appealing. The fantasy theme of Angels and Demons drew me in even more. I can also say that the chemistry between the characters is incredibly palpable, truly unique, and feels real and genuine, which made me grow very fond of each of them.
Recuerdo que comencé a ver esta serie cuando se estrenó su segunda temporada, y fue más por sus pósteres que me parecieron muy atractivos, y más aún con la temática fantástica de Ángeles y Demonios que esta tiene me atrajo aún más. También, puedo decir que la química que hay entre los personajes es altamente palpable, realmente única, se siente real y muy genuina, algo que me hizo encariñar mucho con cada uno de ellos.
Good Omens tells the story of Aziraphale and Crowley, an angel and a demon who have spent their existence watching over and intervening in "Creation" since the beginning. They grow increasingly close, sharing a love story that I simply admire. And as I already mentioned, this series makes the interaction between the characters feel real, and many have attributed this to the fact that Michael Sheen and David Tennant are friends in real life, and they share a very entertaining on-screen chemistry.
Good Omens nos cuenta la historia de Aziraphale y Crowley, un ángel y un demonio que han pasado su existencia vigilando e interviniendo en "La Creación" desde el inicio de la existencia. Estos se vuelven cada vez más unidos, y comparten una historia de amor que sencillamente admiro. Y tal cual ya dije, esta serie te hace sentir real la interacción entre los personajes, y muchos han dicho a que se debe a que Michael Sheen y David Tennant son amigos en la vida real, y estos comparten una muy divertida química como actores en pantalla.
I'm not saying their real-life relationship is like that of platonic lovers or anything; they're both heterosexual (as far as I know, or maybe I just don't care), but their chemistry is intense. So, besides being palpable, it's clear they had fun and enjoyed working together on a unique and intelligent love story.
No me refiero a que el amor entre ellos en la vida real sea como la de amantes platónicos ni nada, realmente ellos son Heterosexuales (hasta donde sé, o realmente ni idea ni atención con ello), sino, que su química es intensa. Así que aparte de palpable, es notorio que estos se divirtieron y disfrutaron trabajar juntos en una historia de amor distinta e inteligente.
This series draws on biblical elements, but obviously with its own twists and turns beyond fiction. Despite a low budget, this series has succeeded thanks to something quite different. I must say, whoever created this series is one of the most skilled and entertaining people in the world. They know exactly what to say and how to make their shows work. It's not about epic battles or over-the-top CGI, but rather about comedic, sad, and moving moments, among many others, that give the series its meaning—something that reminds me of The Good Place.
Esta serie trabaja con datos bíblicos, pero obviamente con sus toques más allá de ficción. Con un bajo presupuesto, esta serie se sostuvo con algo muy distinto, debo decir que quien hizo esta serie es de las personas más hábiles y entretenida del mundo, sabe que palabras usar y como hacer que eso sea lo que vale en sus series, no luchas épicas, ni llevadas al extremo con mucho CGI, sino de momentos cómicos, tristes, emocionantes y muchas más que le dan sentido a esta serie, algo que me recuerda a The Good Place.
On the other hand, some controversies Neil Gaiman faced some time ago led him to completely resign from the production of this series, cruelly impacting the show and bringing it to an end. Fans insisted too much on a proper ending, which he didn't want, and they had to improvise a lot for the finale, with only one episode for the third season. That is, they only gave us an hour and a half for the finale, but although the episode was rushed, they really gave it a beautiful and dignified ending for the protagonists, with a message of encouragement and hope that made me cry.
Por otro lado, algunas polémicas que tuvo Neil Gaiman hace un tiempo hizo que este renunciara en su totalidad de la producción de esta serie, afectando cruelmente la serie y llevándola a su fin, los fans insistieron demasiado a que se le diera un cierre digno, que no quería llegar, y debieron improvisar mucho en su final, con un único episodio para su temporada número tres, o sea, solo nos dieron una hora y media para su final, pero aunque el episodio fue apresurado, realmente le dieron un final hermoso, y digno para los protagonistas, con un mensaje de aliento y esperanza que me hizo llorar.
Good Omens is a fantastic series available on Amazon Originals, and I guarantee you'll enjoy every episode of Aziraphale and Crowley's adventures. If you decide to watch it, I hope you enjoy it.
