Movie - BODIES, BODIES, BODIES.
The only type of movie I never refuse to watch is comedy/horror. I always look for these categories together in streaming sites' catalogs to discover new content and entertain myself with these cinematic wonders. And that's how I ended up with this movie on Prime Video, along with other productions like Totally Killer, Newtopia, Piranha, and the legendary Scary Movie saga (I honestly believe these films were what made me love this genre).
El único tipo de película que nunca me niego a ver son las de comedia/terror. Siempre busco estas etiquetas juntas en los catálogos de las páginas de streaming para descubrir nuevos contenidos y entretenerme un rato con estas maravillas del cine. Y así llegué a esta película en Prime Video, al igual que otras producciones como: Totally Killer, Newtopia, Pirañas y la legendaria saga de Scary Movie (Sinceramente creo que estas películas fueron las que me hicieron amar este género).
A couple of nights ago, I was extremely undecided about what to watch, but while I was browsing the Amazon catalog in the horror section, I found this movie and read its brief description and although it seemed simple to me, I wanted to bookmark it because it has a date marked on it that it will be removed from the Amazon catalog, and I bookmarked it to watch it before it disappears.
Hace un par de noches, estaba sumamente indecisa sobre que ver, pero mientras revisaba el catálogo de Amazon en la sección de terror, conseguí esta película y leí su descripción breve y aunque me pareció sencilla, quise colocarlo porque tiene marcada la fecha en la que será retirada del catálogo de Amazon, y la coloque para verla antes de que desaparezca.
This film follows the story of a group of friends from wealthy families who have decided to reunite after a long time for a reunion at a family mansion.
Esta película sigue la historia de un grupo de amigos de familias ricas que se han decidido reunir luego de mucho tiempo para un buen reencuentro en una mansión familiar.
From the moment we see everyone gathered, tensions begin to build between them, and we see that they all have a secret that makes them vulnerable.
Desde el momento en que vemos a todos reunidos comienza a haber una tensión muy fuerte entre ellos, y así vamos viendo que todos guardan algún secreto que los hace vulnerables.
After one of them is found dead, suspicions begin to swirl about who could have done it, sparking an argument that seems to have no end.
Luego de que uno de ellos aparece muerto, empiezan las sospechas sobre quién lo pudo haber hecho, dando inicio a una discusión que parece no tener ningún final.
It's hard to recommend this movie without giving away some SPOILERS, but I'll try my best.
Es difícil recomendar esta película sin dar algo de SPOILER, pero haré el mayor esfuerzo.
I really liked this movie because of the way it maintains the suspense; the clues about who could have happened keep you glued to the screen the whole time.
Esta película me gusto mucho por la manera en la que mantiene el suspenso, las señales que hay sobre quién pudo haber sido te mantienen pegada a la pantalla en todo momento.
It also shows how friendships with secrets and resentments are incredibly toxic, and in order to “maintain the friendship,” they prefer not to resolve anything, to the point where they use everything they know about you as a weapon against you.
Aquí muestran también como las amistades con secretos y resentimientos son demasiadas tóxicas, y por “mantener la amistad”, prefieren no resolver nada, llegando al punto en donde utilizan todo lo que saben de ti como arma en tu contra.
The comedy. I won't deny that the situations had their comedic sparks, but it wasn't very prevalent. The suspense was present throughout, but there was a balance between the two, but the ending is killer.
La comedia, no debo negar que las situaciones tenían sus chispas de comedia, pero no fue algo muy frecuente, el suspenso fue lo más presente en todo momento, pero el equilibrio entre ambas sí hubo, pero el final es de muerte.
I laughed so hard at the end, I'll never forget that moment because they excelled with their ending. I judge movies and series from beginning to end. There are some that, despite having a good development, don't seem to know how to handle the ending, sometimes leaving you disappointed, but many do manage to leave you satisfied with a good ending.
Me reí demasiado en el final, jamás olvidaré ese momento porque se lucieron con su final, yo juzgo las películas y las series de principios a fin, hay algunas que aunque tienen un buen desarrollo no parecen saber lidiar con el final, dando a veces desilusiones, pero muchas si tienen el control de dejar satisfecho con un buen fin.
The movie started to feel more like a gossip at some point. I was watching it with a friend who said he didn't like that detail, but when you finish watching the movie, you realize that this was the main theme and what made everything happen.
La película en algún punto empezó a ser más un chisme, la estaba viendo con un amigo que dijo que no le parecía ese detalle, pero cuando terminas de ver la película te das de cuenta que este era el tema principal y lo que hizo que todo pasara.
I won't continue giving more reasons to watch it, because I'll end up spoiling everything. However, if you've already seen this movie, I'd love to hear what you thought, and I welcome all kinds of recommendations for what to watch on Amazon and Netflix.

I never knew comedy/horror movies is even possible. Cus how can it be horrifying and funny at the same time. 😂. This movie is one that I'll definitely give a try. Thanks for Ur recommendation 🙂
