Movie - Valerian and the city of a thousand planets
Recently, I found a Facebook post about a scene with Rihanna as "Bubble" in a movie I'd never actually heard of. Interestingly, aside from seeing that this was the famous singer, I couldn't help but notice that it had wonderful CGI that I really liked, and yes, it's filled with a great combination of special effects that make it very visually pleasing.
Recientemente, conseguí una publicación en Facebook sobre una escena de Rihanna como “Bubble” en una película que realmente jamás oí hablar. Curiosamente, aparte de ver que esta era la famosa cantante, no pude evitar notar que esta tenía un maravilloso CGI que me gustó demasiado, y sí, ésta está muy llena de una genial combinación de efectos especiales que la hace muy agradable visualmente.
Valerian is a film starring Dane DeHaan (Valerian) and Cara Delevingne (Laureline) that tells the story of two lovers in the distant future. They work for the Space Federation, which is made up of several species (including humans), and after a mission, they discover a few shady things they must resolve.

From the very beginning, I thoroughly enjoyed what the film offered. Cara Delevingne's performance is truly enjoyable, as she displays great seriousness in her character and beautifully shows her evolution. From the very beginning, these main characters display a palpable relationship that grows stronger and stronger.
Desde un inicio de la película, disfruté demasiado lo que proponía, realmente se goza demasiado de la actuación de Cara Delevingne, ya que esta muestra una gran seriedad al interpretar su personaje y muestra muy bien la evolución de ella. With some references to some science fiction classics, "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets" had an accurate vision of a futuristic city and the potential problems that can arise there, however, I must clarify that I didn't think everything was perfect.

In some ways, it reminded me of the movie Avatar, but this was only in the quality of the special effects. However, I don't think it's that perfect, because it touches on many themes very quickly and forcedly. One of the things I found most rushed was Rihanna's participation. I'm aware that the appearance of certain characters is more for advertising and to connect with different audiences. However, the cool way they portrayed Bubble didn't deserve to be removed from the screen, much less in the absurd way they did.

Despite everything I've expressed in this post, I want to admit that I did enjoy the film, and I don't think I wasted my time doing so. I should add that it's truly good at what it seeks to do. I share the critics' opinion that this film had several gaps in the story. If they had been able to make better use of what they had, I think they would have been able to present a more meticulous product, but for that they needed more time, which they didn't want to add. I don't know what caused future projects for this film to be canceled, but I assume there were important reasons. Comparto la opinión de la crítica que dice que esta película tuvo varios huecos en la historia. Si se hubiesen podido aprovechar mejor lo que tenían, creo que hubiesen sido capaces de mostrar un producto más meticuloso, pero para eso necesitaban más tiempo que no quisieron agregar. Desconozco que hizo que los proyectos futuros de esta obra fuesen cancelados, pero supongo que había grandes razones. Esta película es una de mis favoritas. La escena del Mercado de Bigliar es una maravilla de la tecnología 3D, combinando mundos virtuales y reales de forma única. Excelente reseña!
A mi no me gustó esta película. La trama me pareció lenta y también fue muy larga. Pero admito que la escenografía usada y sus paisajes si fueron cautivadores
Soy fanática de Rihanna, vi esta película por ella, y la escena donde actúa fue la mejor de todas. Verla bailar y transformar sus vestuarios fue de locos! me encantó!
esta película le veo el mismo potencial que la saga de Avatar... no sé por qué no han continuado su historia, me gustó mucho. Saludos!
