Well, here's another movie I watched with my family; this one didn't really appeal to me. I was unaware of the Naked Gun movie series, so I quickly looked it up online. I quickly realized it's an absurdist comedy that continues a series of films from many years ago. Later, when I was alone, I watched the first film in the series to get a better idea of what I'd seen in this latest one, which led me to understand that these movies are true classics, and for obvious reasons.

Y pude entender rápidamente que esta es sobre comedia absurda y que continúa una serie de películas de hace muchos años. Luego, cuando quedé sola, vi la primera película de esta saga para irme dando alguna idea sobre qué fue lo que vi en esta última, lo que me llevó a entender que estas películas son un verdadero clásico y con razones obvias.

Until one day he finds himself on a strange case where he begins to uncover a conspiracy network that seeks to harm the world. Which is interesting, since basically the conspiracy was the only thing that made sense.

Hasta que un día se encuentra en un extraño caso donde empieza a descubrir una red conspirativa que busca hacerle daño al mundo. Lo cual es interesante, ya que básicamente la conspiración fue lo único que tuvo sentido.
It's curious how this film had such a mixed reaction. I noticed online that some people disliked Liam Neeson, not because of his acting, but because some felt it was a step down in his career. We've seen this actor in great roles, in big productions, with great stories that stay with us, and I simply believe that he proved he can be versatile in a new role, giving it his all. From his first appearance to the very end, he showed us how to do comedy in a completely natural way, with a seriousness not seen since Leslie Nielsen.

Pude notar en internet que a algunos les causó disgusto Liam Neeson y no por actuación, sino porque algunos consideran que esto fue una baja en su carrera. Hemos visto a este actor en grandes papeles, en grandes producciones, con grandes historias que se quedan en la memoria, y yo solo opino que este logró demostrar que puede ser versátil en un papel nuevo en que dio todo. Desde su primera aparición hasta el final, este nos enseñó cómo hacer comedia de una manera totalmente natural y con una seriedad que no se veía desde Leslie Nielsen.
When my brother told me this movie was an absurdist comedy, I didn't imagine it would be so outrageously absurd. There's no way to take any of the scenes seriously, because every single one, when it hints at an interesting plot point, develops it, and lightens things up with funny scenes. It's been a while since I've seen a movie like this; it's very much in the vein of "Scary Movie" or "Date Movie," with a humor that goes beyond the casual and the logical. No matter what you think of comedy, you really should relax a little and watch something different that knows how to maintain physical and absurd comedy in a classic style.

No hay manera de tomarse en serio las escenas de esta, pues todas, cuando apuntan a un interesante desarrollo de la historia, lo desarrollan, y aligeran las cosas con escenas chistosas. Tenía tiempo desde la última vez que vi una película como esta; es muy del estilo de “Scary Movie” o de “Date Movie” con una comedia que va más allá de lo casual y lo lógico. No importa qué tanto piensen de la comedia; realmente debes relajarte un poco y ver algo distinto que sepa mantener la comedia física y absurda como al estilo clásico.
Seeing Pamela Anderson again as the beautiful woman in danger was undoubtedly a brilliant choice when they cast her as Fran Jr.'s love interest. She's one of the most famous actresses and models in the world; we've all seen her in major productions, and her authenticity is undeniable. And once again, in a comedy, she stole the show. If you want to watch this movie, it's currently available on Netflix, at least here in Colombia.
