My Favorite Movie of all Time

I never thought the day would come when I’d write a movie review on Hive Learner’s. And on top of that, it’s my favorite movie of all time!!! Boy, am I super excited.

When people ask me what my favorite movie is and I give my answer, their facial expressions always change, and you’ll be able to see the look of pure confusion.

Do I think my choice is weird? Absolutely not. I guess people generally don’t expect “favorite movies of all time” to be animations.

Well, if you haven’t been able to tell from the thumbnail, my favorite movie of all time and the most perfect movie in cinema history is Storks.

About the Movie

It was released back in 2016. The movie portrays a modernized version of the fairytale surrounding Storks.

The fairy tale says that storks are white birds, almost resembling flamingos, and they are believed to deliver babies to parents when they pray for one. They fly high in the sky, while the baby is wrapped in a white cloth, which the stork holds by the beak.

In this movie, though, the baby delivery business is now modernized. Humans order for a baby, specifying the particular features they want, for example, blue eyes, red hair, male, likes to fight, wants to be a doctor, etc.

You basically write all this down in a letter and mail it to Storks Mountain, which is a company high on the tippy top of a mountain. When the letter gets to the company, it is placed in the baby making machine.

The letter then undergoes mitosis, divides up into different little components, goes through some other processes, and voila, your baby is ready in a closed Android pod. The pod contains a GPS coordinate of the owner’s location.

The storks then carry the android pods by their beaks and deliver them to their respective locations. The company used to deliver babies until the CEO decided that babies were too tedious a package to deliver. So they retired the idea and started delivering other packages, like phones and the like.

Back home, a little boy who wanted a sibling found an old pamphlet about the stork mountain, wrote a letter, and mailed it. The letter got to the stork mountain and was mistakenly processed, and a baby was created.

Now Junior and Tulip have to work together to deliver the baby in secret without their boss knowing. If he finds out, Junior is not going to get promoted.

Characters

Junior, played by Andy Samberg, is the major star employee about to get promoted by the boss. He is an everyday guy; everybody likes him at the office; he just has to deliver the baby in secret with Tulip. His promotion is at stake.

Tulip, played by Katie Crown, is an orphan whose GPS coordinates were destroyed at birth. The stork assigned to deliver her made a mistake and broke the GPS machine. Tulip has since been stuck on the mountain and is now 18 years old.

She’s the person who mistakenly processed the baby.

Review

This movie is a 10/10 hands down. To this very day, I think about it all the time. The precision in the storytelling is evident down to the last detail. The storyline is absolutely brilliant.

I was moved to tears in more areas than one. The journey and relationship between Junior, Tulip, and the baby were amazing events to behold. There were so many iconic scenes in the movie.

This movie is a classic. It should be watched by everyone, whether you’re into animations or not.

10/10 I wholeheartedly recommend!

Isn't this the same movie where those wolfs were creating different vehicles while chasing the baby? I haven't watched the movie but I saw snippets of it on TikTok, it's very interesting movie! (at least from the little I have seen). I will definitely download it this night, nice review 👍
