Cine TV Contest #92: A mysterious and very cautious man

Tenía un tiempo sin escribir alguna #review de películas, y que mejor forma que iniciar este año hablándoles de (The Hateful Eight) es una obra maestra de Quentin Tarantino que desafía las convenciones del género Western.

Ponte cómodo que acá quiero dar inicio a mi nueva publicación y espero que te guste, recuerda que no daré ningún tipo de spoiler y solo busco captar tu atención par que te animes a verla por ti mismo y así disfrutes de lo que esta gran película nos ofrece.

I had a while without writing a #movie review, and what better way to start this year than talking about (The Hateful Eight) is a masterpiece of Quentin Tarantino that defies the conventions of the Western genre.

Make yourself comfortable because here I want to start my new publication and I hope you like it, remember that I will not give any spoilers and I just want to capture your attention so you can see it for yourself and enjoy what this great movie has to offer.

Primero que nada, luego de que vi la película The Hateful Eight, me quede pensando en que genero puede categorizarse la película, pues en realidad tiene muchas escenas y una narrativa tan grandiosa que se me hizo complicado darle una categoría, pero luego de investigar un poco más me encontré con una categoría de películas llamada: Western, esta categoría está enfocada a contar historias al modo del viejo oeste, con pistoleros defendiendo sus bienes en común, pero no te dejes engañar por lo que acá te cuento, pues la película de la que les hablo hoy tiene muchas cosas ocultas que vale la pena mirar.

La película es una exhibición impresionante del arte cinematográfica, aunque su visión del mundo puede resultar escéptica y su violencia, desenfrenada, deja un mensaje final muy bueno si lo analizas bien.

La trama se desarrolla en Wyoming, después de la Guerra Civil, durante una feroz tormenta de nieve. Asi de fuerte se inicia acá, en menos de 2 minutos de película y la tragedia ya está sobre nuestros protagonistas.

First of all, after I saw the movie The Hateful Eight, I was wondering in what genre the movie can be categorized, because it actually has many scenes and a narrative so great that it was complicated to give a category, but after researching a little more I found a category of films called: Western, this category is focused on telling stories in the old west way, with gunfighters defending their common property, but do not be fooled by what I tell you here, because the movie I'm talking about today has many hidden things that are worth watching.

The film is an impressive exhibition of cinematic art, although its vision of the world can be skeptical and its violence, unbridled, leaves a very good final message if you analyze it well.

The plot is set in Wyoming, after the Civil War, during a fierce snowstorm. That's how hard it starts here, less than 2 minutes into the film and tragedy is already upon our protagonists.

Un grupo de criminales y brutales hombres de la ley se enfrentan en una cabaña aislada por la nieve. Tarantino se toma su tiempo para presentar a sus personajes, cada uno con sus propias motivaciones y secretos, y esa fue una de las partes que me gusto de la película, aunque tiene una duración de más de 2 horas, ese tiempo es vital para poder conocer la historia de cada uno de los personajes que vemos en la pantalla y así podemos ir comprendiendo el contexto de la situación, y además nos da libre imaginación para ir analizando lo que pueda pasar en dicha cabaña.

La película es un discurso fascinante y feo al mismo tiempo sobre las relaciones raciales y la lealtad, pero presentado de una forma en la que todos lo entienden y no se ofende a nadie al tocar dichos temas. Los personajes son complejos y bien desarrollados, cada uno con su propia historia y motivaciones, y el carácter de cada uno hace resaltar sus puntos fuertes, pues cada uno cuenta con una personalidad distinta que hace un buen balance a toda la película.

La interpretación es excepcional, con actuaciones destacadas de Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh y por supuesto el gran Samuel L. Jackson, el cual tenemos acá como nuestro personaje principal y el cual no revela del todo su historia.

A group of criminals and brutal lawmen face off in a snow-isolated cabin. Tarantino takes his time to introduce his characters, each with their own motivations and secrets, and that was one of the parts of the film that I liked, although it has a duration of more than 2 hours, that time is vital to know the history of each of the characters we see on the screen and so we can understand the context of the situation, and also gives us free imagination to analyze what may happen in that cabin.

The film is a fascinating and at the same time ugly discourse on race relations and loyalty, but presented in a way that everyone understands and no one is offended by the themes. The characters are complex and well-developed, each with their own story and motivations, and the character of each brings out their strengths, as each has a distinct personality that makes a good balance to the whole film.

The acting is exceptional, with outstanding performances from Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh and of course the great Samuel L. Jackson, who we have here as our main character and who does not fully reveal his backstory.

Si te preguntas por qué he elegido esta película, te cuento que me anime a verla, ya que en la comunidad de Cine TV tienen un concurso activo sobre: Tu película favorita de Samuel L. Jackson, y te invito a que pases a ver las publicaciones de los demás usuarios.

La dirección de Tarantino es impecable. La película es larga y a veces indulgente, pero una vez que se establece el escenario, es bastante cautivadora y entretenida. La fotografía es nítida y la banda sonora, creada por Ennio Morricone, añade una capa extra de tensión a la trama, y ese la tensión que tanto se destaca acá, algunas escenas son muy buenas con ese suspenso y nuestra imaginación volando imaginando que puede pasar en esos momentos donde la tensión se siente en el aire de esa pequeña cabaña….

Tarantino's direction is impeccable. The film is long and sometimes indulgent, but once the stage is set, it is quite captivating and entertaining. The cinematography is crisp and the soundtrack, created by Ennio Morricone, adds an extra layer of tension to the plot, and that tension that stands out so much here, some scenes are very good with that suspense and our imagination flying imagining what can happen in those moments where the tension is felt in the air of that little cabin....

Sin embargo, “The Hateful Eight” puede ser una película difícil de ver para algunos, debido a su violencia gráfica y su tono sombrío, pues entiendo que algunos son algo sensibles a esto, pues la forma del trato de los hombres a una de las chicas es algo rudo, pero tenemos que entender que es para dar mejor ambiente a toda la historia.

Aunque la película está llena de sorpresas y giros inesperados, su premisa y desarrollo de personajes pueden resultar engañosamente simples, es por eso que te digo que no te dejes creer por mis palabras de que es una película como todas las demás, pues de verdad vale la pena verla.

However, "The Hateful Eight" may be a difficult film to watch for some, due to its graphic violence and somber tone, as I understand that some are somewhat sensitive to this, as the way the men treat one of the girls is a bit rough, but we have to understand that it is to give better atmosphere to the whole story.

Although the film is full of surprises and unexpected twists, its premise and character development can be deceptively simple, that's why I tell you not to be fooled by my words that it is a movie like all the others, because it is really worth watching.

Si hablamos de la ficha técnica de la película, aunque ya lo mencione antes, el director fue Quentin Tarantino, y aunque no recuerdo haber visto otras de sus películas, según investigue esta se considera una de las mejores de sus producciones.

La película salió al público en el año 2015, así que tiene un par de años de antigüedad y aun así la calidad de imagen y cinematografía es digna de una de las películas de la actualidad.

Y algo que siempre me ha gustado y que no puedo dejar por fuera en mis #Review, y es mostrarles los posters de las películas y esta tiene algunos diseño muy buenos que compartiré acá con ustedes....

If we talk about the technical specifications of the film, although I mentioned it before, the director was Quentin Tarantino, and although I don't remember having seen other of his films, according to my research this is considered one of the best of his productions.

The film was released to the public in 2015, so it is a couple of years old and yet the image quality and cinematography is worthy of one of today's films.

And something that I have always liked and that I can not leave out in my #Review, and is to show you the posters of the movies and this one has some very good design that I will share here with you....

Si me pidieran una frase corta para resumir esta película, solo diría que: Es una película que desafía al espectador, tanto en su contenido como en su forma. Aunque su visión del mundo puede ser desalentadora, la habilidad de Tarantino para la narración y la creación de personajes es innegable.

Esta película seguramente resonará en aquellos que aprecian el estilo único de Tarantino, para mi es totalmente nueva pues desconozco las demás creaciones de Tarantino, pero si están tan bien creadas como esta película, de seguro me tomaría el tiempo de ver las demás, pues no temen enfrentarse a las realidades más oscuras de la humanidad.

If I were asked for a short sentence to sum up this film, I would just say: It is a film that challenges the viewer, both in its content and its form. While its worldview may be daunting, Tarantino's skill at storytelling and character creation is undeniable.

This film is sure to resonate with those who appreciate Tarantino's unique style, for me it is brand new as I am unfamiliar with Tarantino's other creations, but if they are as well created as this film, I would certainly take the time to watch the others as they are not afraid to confront the darker realities of humanity.
