Epstein, AI and movies

Dear Hiveans,

as I am quite busy preparing for an exam, today just a short opinion piece on the Epstein scandal and on my hopes for AI concerning the "movie industry".

1. Epstein

I don't have any strong opinions about this topic, just some questions:

• In how far was there a conspiracy that was proven true? It's not new that Epstein had knowhow of tax advisory and offshore jurisdictions and helped rich and especially powerful people (politicians). Concerning all the sex/rape/trafficking stuff, there are a lot of allegations, but has there been any real proof?
• Why are all those experts on this stuff (the people who were experts on nuclear weaponry last June, urban warfare after October 7 2023, and virology/ epidemiology/ immunology during Covid) not differentiating between intercourse with minors (e.g. 17 years old) (which may be illegal and immoral - depending on the age of the second person) and pedophilia (= sexual attraction to prepubescent children)?
• Why are they not mentioning that at least some of the so-called "victims" are in fact grifters who took money and wanted to be around famous people?
• The shocking thing about the published documents is the stupidity/naivety of Epstein's buddies. How could they incriminate themselves by leaving written evidence, e.g. the corruption scandal around Peter Mandelson. When will Keir Starmer resign? (here a nice song)

Let's see if more and more incriminating information will be published.

1. AI and cinematography

AI for movies has seen enormous advancements over the last months (!). Incredible speed.

There are two things I am looking forward to concerning cinema and AI:

• I very much hope for fantastic historic movies. Unfortunately there are not that many good movies about historical events. I wrote about one bad example here. There are many historical characters (e.g. Moses, Saul and David, Sulla vs. Marius, Aurelian, Maiorian, Charlemagne, Pelagius of Asturias, ...) and events (Old Testament events, Peloponnesian Wars, Early Muslim Expansion & Crusades, Ottoman Wars, the American Revolution (the one and only!), the Industrial Revolution, ...). There are so many fascinating stories to tell. Everybody will be able to use AI to produce such movies. And these movies will beat history classes by far, concerning learning effect and fun.
• The other great thing from "AI + cinema" is that the morally depraved and overpaid Hollywood people will become unemployed. Even before the Epstein story, we knew of perverts like Roman Polanski, Woody Allen (who is in a relationship with the stepdaughter of his former partner Mia Farrow), Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby or Kim Kardashian. Many of these Hollywood actors are self-righteous to the extreme, support terrorists like Hamas and make unqualified comments on politics.

da ich gerade ziemlich beschäftigt bin (Prüfungvorbereitung), heute nur ein kurzer Post zum Epstein-Skandal und zu meinen Hoffnungen auf KI in Bezug auf die „Filmindustrie”.

1. Epstein

Ich habe keine ausgeprägte Meinung zu diesem Thema, nur ein paar Fragen:

• Inwieweit gab es eine Verschwörung, die sich als wahr erwiesen hat? Es ist nichts Neues, dass Epstein über Knowhow bzgl. Steuerminimierung und Offshore-Möglichkeiten verfügte und reichen und v.a. mächtigen Menschen (Politikern) half. Was all die Vorwürfe in Bezug auf Sex/ Vergewaltigung/ Menschenhandel angeht, gibt es viele Anschuldigungen, aber gibt es auch echte Beweise?
• Warum unterscheiden all diese Experten auf diesem Gebiet (die im Juni letzten Jahres Experten für Atomwaffen, nach dem 7. Oktober 2023 für städtische Kriegsführung und während Covid für Virologie/Epidemiologie/Immunologie waren) nicht zwischen Geschlechtsverkehr mit Minderjährigen (z.B. 17-Jährigen) (was je nach Alter der zweiten Person illegal und unmoralisch sein kann) und Pädophilie (= sexuelle Attraktion zu vorpubertären Kindern)?
• Warum erwähnen sie nicht, dass zumindest einige der sogenannten „Opfer” in Wirklichkeit grifters sind, die Geld genommen haben und mit berühmten Leuten zusammen sein wollten?
• Das Schockierende an den veröffentlichten Dokumenten ist die Dummheit/Naivität von Epsteins Freunden. Wie konnten sie sich selbst belasten, indem sie schriftliche Beweise hinterließen, siehe z.B. den Korruptionsskandal um Peter Mandelson. Wann wird Keir Starmer zurücktreten? (hier ein schönes Lied)

Mal sehen, ob noch mehr belastende Informationen veröffentlicht werden.

1. KI und Kinematografie

Die KI für Filme hat in den letzten Monaten (!) enorme Fortschritte gemacht. Unglaubliche Entwicklung.

Es gibt zwei Dinge, auf die ich mich in Bezug auf KI bezüglich Kino freue:

• Ich hoffe sehr auf fantastische historische Filme. Leider gibt es nicht so viele gute Filme über historische Ereignisse. Über ein schlechtes Beispiel habe ich hier geschrieben. Es gibt viele historische Persönlichkeiten (z.B. Moses, Saul und David, Sulla vs. Marius, Aurelian, Maiorian, Karl der Große, Pelagius von Asturien, ...) und Ereignisse (Ereignisse aus dem Alten Testament, Peloponnesische Kriege, frühe muslimische Expansion und Kreuzzüge, Osmanische Kriege, die Amerikanische Revolution (die einzige echte und erfolgreiche Revolution!), die Industrielle Revolution, ...). Es gibt so viele faszinierende Geschichten zu erzählen. Jeder wird in der Lage sein, KI zu nutzen, um solche Filme zu produzieren. Und diese Filme werden den Geschichtsunterricht bei weitem übertreffen, hinsichtlich Lerneffekt und Spass.
• Das andere Tolle an „KI + Kino“ ist, dass die moralisch verdorbenen und überbezahlten Hollywood-Leute arbeitslos werden. Schon vor der Epstein-Geschichte kannten wir Perverse wie Roman Polanski, Woody Allen (der eine Beziehung mit der Stieftochter seiner ehemaligen Partnerin Mia Farrow hat), Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby oder Kim Kardashian. Viele dieser Hollywood-Schauspieler sind extrem selbstgerecht, unterstützen Terroristen wie die Hamas und äußern sich unqualifiziert zu politischen Themen.
