Snow White

Because of the line delivery and how random it felt, they establish nobody remembers Snow White, and as soon as she shows up, people start marching behind her for whatever reason that they don’t explain at all. The whole sequence is hilarious. She defeated the queen through words. There’s no romantic aspect to the film because it feels incredibly shoehorned — like there’s nothing to that guy beyond being a bandit who saves her life. And no, it’s not what pushes her to take on the queen.

A massive problem I have with the movie is she wakes up and suddenly decides to mess it up and take the fight to the queen, lol, but there’s no rhyme or reason to any of it. She knew the queen was trying to kill her, so it also doesn’t make sense that she’d buy into the old hag’s scheme and eat the apple — and correct me if I’m wrong, but there’s no “you can wish for something if you bite the apple” in this version, so she had no motive behind eating it other than the story needing her to. They just needed that beat to happen because they needed to launch her into the third act.

Why they followed her is such a massive stretch — because she’s wearing red and they’re wearing grey dull clothing? Come on. 😅 The way it’s staged is so silly. She literally walks in, nobody even knows who the hell she is (because they hammer you over the head that that’s the case), and they follow her like moths to a flame.

I do love that Rachel Zegler whined about the prince saving her in the original, yet she’s saved by a bandit in this one 😂 — meaning that if it wasn’t for the bandit, she’d be dead. It just fails on such a basic storytelling level.
