A Speculative Case for Eternal Life
I am led to conclude that, as crappy as the evidence is, such that we have suggests our spirits outlive our bodies, at least as functional living creatures. Given a fairly substantial body of claims that we will persist as spirits thereafter, the only evidence we do have suggests that is the case. Whether we are reincarnated, live as conscious entities in a spiritual realm, or some other continuance, there is no firm conclusion able to be drawn from different faiths.
But I see no evidence whatsoever that the heat death of the universe matters at all to us as spiritual beings. Do you?

It was shocking that an American discovered the hidden side of the Chinese creation myth that even East Asians like me had not thought of.
Nüwa, also read Nügua, is a mother goddess, culture hero,[1] and/or member of the Three Sovereigns of Chinese mythology. She is a goddess in Chinese folk religion, Chinese Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism.[2] She is credited with creating humanity and repairing the Pillar of Heaven.[3]
As creator of mankind, she molded humans individually by hand with yellow clay.[4] In other stories where she fulfills this role, she only created nobles[5] and/or the rich[6] out of yellow soil. The stories vary on the other details about humanity's creation, but it was a tradition commonly believed in ancient China that she created commoners from brown mud.[5] A story holds that she was tired when she created "the rich and the noble", so all others, or "cord-made people", were created from her "dragg[ing] a string through mud".[6]
The Chinese creation myth differs from the Bible and Greek mythology in that it was not compiled into one book.
However, the part where Nüwa created the first humans - the Chinese - is the same.
In Chinese mythology, the goddess can be seen as a creator deity, as Nüwa performed feats similar to Yahweh.
Earth: Final Conflict features the Chinese goddess Nüwa as the alien race the Taelons.
It is particularly unusual in that it features an East Asian male as the lead.
Earth: Final Conflict features a mix of white and black North American actors, but the most notable one is an East Asian male playing the lead role!
