Hello to all members of this community and cosplay lovers! Today, I decided to take some photos inspired by the character Jared, the Goblin King, played by the charismatic David Bowie, in the movie The Labyrinth.

I love David's songs, and ever since I came across the movie where he plays the antagonist, I decided to watch it and was fascinated by his character. So much so, that when my mom cut my hair, I asked her to give me a cut similar to Jared's. My mom did a great job because I really love my hair.

As I mentioned, it wasn't exactly a cosplay, but rather an outfit inspired by the character. I didn't have any accessories or extravagant clothes, but I did have a white fringed shirt that seemed perfect, as well as a small vest. So I thought about creating an outfit inspired by Goblincore, which went perfectly with the film's theme.

For some time now, I've been away from cosplay and events, not so much by choice, but because I decided to prioritize other things in my life. However, making and wearing cosplays is something I really enjoy, so I've been thinking about gradually making my costumes and attending a convention when I feel ready 😊 To start, I thought the best thing would be to try on my old cosplays, as well as put together outfits inspired by characters. The latter is something I used to do a lot years ago and it served as a "test run," to get a general idea of ​​how I would look as the character.

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes del cosplay! El día de hoy, me animé a tomarme unas fotografías inspiradas en el personaje Jared, el rey de los goblins, interpretado por el carismático David Bowie, en la película The Labyrith.

Me gustan las canciones de David y desde que me encontré con la película en donde hace de antagonista, me aventuré a verla y me fascinó cómo lucía su personaje. Tanto así, que cuando mi madre me cortó el cabello, le pedí que me hiciera un corte parecido al de Jared. Mi madre hizo un gran trabajo porque realmente adoro mi cabello.

Como comenté, no se trataría como tal de un cosplay, sino un outfit inspirado en el personaje. No tenía accesorios, ni prendas extravagantes, pero tengo una camisa blanca con flecos que me pareció perfecta, así como un pequeño chaleco. Pensé entonces en elaborar un outfit inspirado en el Goblincore, lo cual iba perfecto con la temática de la película.

Desde hace un tiempo, he estado apartada de realizar cosplay y hacer eventos, no tanto porque así lo quisiera, sino porque decidí darle prioridad a otras cosas en mi vida. Sin embargo, hacer y usar cosplays es algo que me gusta mucho, así que me he estado planteando el ir haciendo mis trajes poco a poco y asistir a alguna convención cuando me sienta lista 😊 Para empezar, pensé que lo mejor sería probarme mis cosplay viejos, así como armar outfits inspirados en personajes. Esto último es algo que hacía mucho hace años y que me servía como "prueba", para saber más o menos cómo luciría como el personaje.
