I was scrolling through WhatsApp status a few weeks ago when I stumbled across a short video clip that a friend of mine had uploaded. It was a guy in a full white costume, struggling his way down to prevent a bad incident from occurring. Oooh. What are all these? I almost skipped it before I read the caption where she said, “This movie made me feel how much the cells in my body are working so hard.” I was confused, yet to be convinced to even ask for the title of the movie.

I thought it was all of these superhero and villain movies. I am not a fan of these genres of movies; I just watch them occasionally.

Three days ago, my brother came home with his laptop and was watching a movie, so I was less busy at that time and decided to watch it with him. The more we watch, the more interesting it gets. The first scene I had my eyes on was the same costume I saw the lady wear on her status. Ooh! I quickly told him that I had seen someone already talking about this movie somewhere.

“Cell At Work” that's the title… ooh. That's nice. I just kept watching alongside. The more I stayed, the more interesting the movie got. Oooh, I got hooked on the movie. So interesting that I had to watch it to the end. It was like the movie shouldn’t end.

Cell At Work!

The movie is a Japanese movie, released in 2024. It is packed with action and adventure, and runs for a duration of about 1hour and 30 minutes, and subtitles are available in English.

Plot

The story was about what happened inside the body of a man who happened to take less care of himself. He will always pay less attention to his health, and thereby his daughter was so cautious about his nonchalant attitude.

Her mother died from illness, and this has inspired her to become a doctor and focus more on the cells in the body.

In the body of her father are trillions of cells, each doing their jobs respectively to keep the body healthy. The most focused cells are the rookie red blood cells that have always found it difficult to find their way. She always gets lost in the body whenever she is in charge of making deliveries of oxygen to the white blood cells.

It also depicts the importance of a relentless white blood cell, true to its nature, and tries so hard to fight against any form of germ that invades the body.

In real life, the daughter has to face a life-and-death battle with a cancerous cell in her body. This cell grew abnormally and began to destroy all the other cells in the body. They multiplied so quickly. It became a challenge to other cells till the body was about to collapse.

The white blood cell fought till the very end, and the body was saved by a blood transfusion.

Conclusion and Ratings

After watching the movie, I just can’t let go of the thoughts in my head. I could feel how much the cells in my body had to struggle to keep the body active. The white blood cells actively fight against germs and diseases.

The battle and struggle the red blood cells had to undergo before they supply oxygen to the body. It was an amazing watch, I must say. It also has some comedy in it that keeps the viewers hooked.

If I were to rate the movie on a scale of 10, I would give it an 8/10 rating.

I think it's a good movie because it's a good way for making kids passionate about the study of the human body 😍
