The Unraveling of Love/ Review and opinion
Loving ourselves as we are is a vital part of life. I am not against a few minor adjustments, as long as they are minimal, because when it borders on the desire to change completely, then there is a serious problem; the film I want to talk about today deals with self-perception and acceptance, and the fact that there is always someone who loves us with our flaws and virtues.
The Unraveling of Love
This South Korean film focuses on the life of a young woman who inherited her father's curly hair, something she hates with all her might, so her constant ambition is to make it look straight, as she is convinced that this will make her more attractive.
The film's protagonist, Park Se-ri, is a high school senior whose biggest concern is her curly hair because she believes that, as she is, she will not be able to win over Kim Hyun, the most popular boy in school.
Unexpectedly, a new student named Han Yoon-seok arrives in her class, using a crutch because he has an injured foot. One day, Park Se-ri discovers that this new classmate's mother owns a beauty salon that offers a hair straightening treatment, which she believes would be the solution to her problem.
So, the protagonist makes an agreement with Han Yoon-seok's mother. If she supports him while he uses crutches, she will give him the treatment for free. This means that the two young people spend much more time together, as she accompanies him at all times.
Now, something that is notable about the film is that, in addition to the closeness between the protagonists, we see how Park Se-ri integrates Han Yoon-seok into her group of friends, even though they find him a little mysterious because they know nothing about him, only that he came from Seoul. We also see how the young man falls in love with her, just as she is, with her virtues and flaws, loving everything about her, even her essence.
This film is set in Busan in the 1990s, and to bring these years back to life, they paid attention to details such as flip phones and other analog models of the time. We also see pagers, the use of mailboxes and cassette players, photo albums, disposable cameras, and even the hair straightening treatment that was used in those years.
Returning to the plot, there comes a moment when the protagonist's maturity and self-esteem blossom. After winning her hair treatment, she decides that it is the perfect time to declare her love to Kim Hyun, but right then she realizes that she is really interested in Yoon-seok, as he has always been there for her and values her for who she is. She ends up telling her platonic love how she feels about him, but also tells him that she has given up on him, as she has realized that she cares about someone else.
Another issue the film raises is domestic abuse, how it can affect those who experience it and the decisions they are forced to make to escape that situation, as well as the sacrifices we make for those we love, which may include letting them go even though we still love them so that they can be better off, and, as I mentioned, accepting people as they are (starting with accepting ourselves), with their flaws and virtues, so that love can flourish and be true.
In short, The Tangles of Love is a romantic comedy full of lessons for anyone who dares to give it a chance.

No estoy en contra de algunos retoques siempre y cuando sean mínimos, porque cuando ya la cosa raya en el deseo de cambiarse por completo, pues allí hay un grave problema; sobre la percepción y aceptación propia y el que siempre hay alguien que nos ame con nuestros defectos y virtudes versa el tema de la película de la que deseo hablar hoy.
Los Desenredos del Amor
Esta película surcoreana se centra en la vida de una joven que heredó de su padre el cabello rizado, algo que detesta con todas sus fuerzas, por lo que su constante ambición es lograr que se vea liso, ya que está convencida de que esto la hará más atractiva.
La protagonista de la película, Park Se-ri es una estudiante del último año de secundaria y su mayor preocupación es su cabello rizado porque cree que tal cual como es, no podrá conquistar a Kim Hyun el chico más popular de la escuela.
De manera inesperada llega a su clase un nuevo alumno de nombre Han Yoon-seok, quien está usando una muleta, pues tiene un pie lastimado, un día Park Se-ri descubre que la madre de este nuevo compañero es la dueña de un salón de belleza en el que realizan un tratamiento para alisar el cabello, lo que para ella sería la solución a su problema.
Así, la protagonista llega a un acuerdo con la madre de Han Yoon-seok. Si ella lo apoya mientras él use muletas, ella le aplicará el tratamiento de forma gratuita. Lo que hace que los dos jóvenes pasen mucho más tiempo juntos, ya que ella lo acompaña en todo momento.
Ahora bien, algo que es notorio de la película es que además del acercamiento entre los protagonistas es que se ve como Park Se-ri integra a su grupo de amigos a Han Yoon-seok, aun cuando ellos lo ven un poco misterioso porque no saben nada de él, solo que vine de Seúl, también como el joven se va enamorando de ella, tal cual es con sus virtudes, defectos ama todo de ella hasta su esencia.
Esta película se ambienta en Busan, en los años 90 y para hacernos revivir estos años cuidaron detalles como destacar los celulares de tapa y otros modelos analógicos de del momento, también vemos bíper, el uso de buzones y reproductores de casete, álbumes fotográficos, cámaras desechables y hasta el tratamiento que capilar para alizar que se usaba en esos años.
Volviendo a la trama llega un momento en el que aflora la madurez de la protagonista y su amor propio, cuando luego de haber ganado su tratamiento capilar decide que es el momento perfecto para declararle su amor a Kim Hyun, pero justo allí se da cuenta de que de verdad le interesa Yoon-seok, pues ha estado allí siempre para ella y que la valora tal cual es, por lo que termina contándole a quien era su amor platónico lo que sentía por él, pero también le dice que ya ha desistido, pues se ha dado cuenta de que le importa alguien más.
Otra cosa que la película nos plantea es el maltrato familiar, como puede afectar a quienes lo viven y las decisiones que se ven obligados a tomar para escapar de esa situación, también el sacrificio que hacemos por los que amamos lo cual puede incluir el dejarlos ir aún amándolos para que puedan estar mejor y sin duda como ya mencione el aceptar a las personas tal como son (comenzando por aceptarnos a nosotros mismos), con sus defectos y virtudes, para que el amor pueda florecer y ser verdadero.
En resumen, Los desenredos del amor, es una comedia romántica llena de lecciones para todos los que se atrevan a darle una oportunidad.

To be honest, I started watching it without many expectations, but then I enjoyed seeing the message it conveys and that trip back in time to the 90s.
What a nice Korean interesting movie that teaches about love and caring, Iam a lover of Korean movies and i love this movie love untangle very nice even the post can tell
The Truth is a film with a powerful message. I only recently started watching Korean films and series, and I really enjoy them.
