Kraven the Hunter

We can say that Kraven the Hunter, a Marvel character, is one of Spider-man's sworn enemies, but the movie is more in the anti-hero mode and Spider-man has nothing to do with it. Lol

The character Kraven's connection with nature from a young age and his conflicts with his father are the main elements that shape the story. Frankly speaking, any production that involves confrontation with the cruel laws of nature increases my tendency to watch it.

Add to this the supernatural powers and the character confrontations that come to the forefront, and the movie's appeal increases and the ground is prepared for even those like me who do not enjoy hero movies very much to watch the movie.

I should mention that the character Karaven comes from a well-to-do family, but the beginning of the story is based on the reasons why he chooses to live in the wilderness. I can say that this contributes extra to the story of the movie because we see that the boundaries between human and animal are pushed on the character.

In general, the story successfully deals with themes such as the conflict between nature and man, the survival instinct and revenge. However, the movie's story is not gripping at times, and the stagnant flow reduces the momentum.

I can say that the efforts to deepen the psychology of the character is the main reason for the stagnation I mentioned. For example, while one of the brothers' fearless, fierce and extremely adept at making quick decisions adds value to the action scenes, the other's fear, his mental underdevelopment and the fact that too much time is spent on the reasons for this, eliminates the immersion.

The effort to create a new threat after eliminating the existing one takes the light out of the movie. Moreover, since they did this through the person they presented as a passive character throughout the movie, the only thing I could think of was that they wanted to leave the door open for a sequel. Because this is extremely pointless for this story.

Every scene of the movie that takes place in the wilderness is both successful and in harmony with the action scenes. I especially liked the hunting scenes. There are a couple of artificial visuals, but you can see that they are necessary for the scenes in question.

Kraven the Hunter may be a start for those who love hero movies, but I think it needs a few more productions to reach a wider audience. I recommend watching it, but I am sure you will enjoy it more if you consider it as a story beginning and ending. I am in favor of not thinking too much about the sequel because this small detail spoils the story.
