Why Endgame Is Not The Best Marvel Movie Ever

When you single out Endgame you can easily say that it can be defined as an iconic movie and no one would debate that. Endgame seemingly has it all… Quotable dialogue, memorable action, and the return of an amazing villain but, if you asked us to rank Marvel movies from best to worst, there is hardly any scenario where Endgame would make it to the top of the list.

Here are our 3 reasons why:

Infinity War Is Hard To Beat

To put Endgame on top of any Marvel-related list it would need to be better than Infinity War. Russo Brothers did a fantastic job with Infinity War and outdoing themselves for the second time would be hard. If you ad Winter Soldier into the equation it would actually make it a third time because that movie was also a banger.

Time Travel

Time travel seems to be an addition that makes things more complicated than they should be. It almost makes the plot impossible to follow while also highlighting that even the characters in the movie don’t really understand how it works. Judging by online criticism, it seems that the writers also don’t know how it works.

This is explained in more detail in the video below.

Too Much “Lady Power”

There is a moment in the movie where all female heroes assemble to defeat a common enemy and save the universe but it all feels inorganic and forced, especially when compared to how it was done in Infinity War.

It was supposed to represent a strong moment in the movie but we just didn’t feel that it managed to accomplish that goal.

In short, that is our view on End Game. For a more comprehensive explanation of why we don’t think it deserves the GOAT title be sure to check out the video below where we cover all of these topics and a lot more in greater detail.

Well man, I guess you're not alone in thinking that. To me, Infinity War is much, much better than Endgame. In Infinity War the story takes its time to develop the actions and events correctly, all the characters have the time they deserve on the screen, Thanos was an incredible and well-constructed villain, he exceeded my expectations. The movie had funny moments (when the Guardians of the Galaxy meet the Avengers) and it had sad moments (when Gamora dies) and epic moments, like The Battle of Wakanda and the ending was terrifying.

Otherwise, Endgame looks like a movie where the directors aren't in full control of the project, they need to bring back all the characters for the final battle, and they don't find a better way than time travel, which is a great idea. but poorly executed. I'm not a picky viewer, but the mistakes in the movie were clear and impossible to deny.

I must say that the presentation of Captain Marvel for Endgame was very bad. A character with such power and potential cannot appear in this universe in the last movie, and has seen so little use.

Hard to argue with any of that. A short summary would be that Endgame is a compilation of badly executed ideas that were actually great. Not all of them, of course.

I agree with you! I disney/marvel is bringing a lot this matter of including more representation in their movies. Sometimes it looks to 'forced" .
