I watched The Death of a Unicorn so you don't have to watch it
Do you guys know those corny movies that you watch just for the purpose of passing time, but at the same time you're hopefully that oh somehow, it's gonna be a great movie? Yeah, I recently saw one like that.
Or oh wait, what about those movies that you thought oh yeah this would be lovely to watch and you keep on postponing when you're going to watch it and when you finally do, it turns out to be a whole bunch of shit? Yeah, saw something like that also.
I really don't know what pushed me to watch this movie this faithful day. I was bored I guess. The Death of a Unicorn, like the name implies...it revolves around the death of a unicorn. But like in a shitty, make believe way. The movie described Unicorns to be mysterious animals with horns. They're capable of resurrection and they're body parts can serve as antidotes and cures to illnesses/ diseases.

Elliot Kintner, who is a weary environmental lawyer, takes his sarcastic teenage daughter Ridley on a weekend trip hoping to fix their strained bond. He’s been invited to a private island retreat by his eccentric billionaire boss, J. Randall Plinth, who might be offering him a major promotion. Ridley isn’t thrilled, but Elliot insists. Late at night, while driving through a misty woodland road, something dazzling runs in front of their car. Elliot swerves, but it’s too late. When they step out, they find not an animal, but a unicorn, glowing faintly and bleeding silver.
At the island, nothing feels right. The estate is sleek and modern, filled with powerful guests and scientists who all seem to be part of something bigger. Plinth is charming but unsettling. When word spreads about the unicorn horn, everything shifts. Elliot’s old injury disappears after just a drop of its blood. T injury being his bad eyesight. It also mysteriously heals Plinth from cancer. N that he's alive and well, the scumbag decides to bring in researchers and talks of turning the unicorn’s power into medicine. He wants more horns, more blood, and if that means hunting more unicorns, so be it. Elliot protests but is pushed aside.
Strange things begin to happen. Animals vanish. Lights flicker in the forest. One of the scientists is found dead, body impaled straight through. Ridley starts seeing things in the trees — glowing eyes, soft hooves, something watching. She begins to understand the truth. The unicorn had a family. And they’re coming.
Then the killing begins. Two unicorns, sleek and terrifying, move through the woods like ghosts. They don’t speak, don’t roar, but they strike fast and without mercy. One by one, those who touched the horn or its blood are taken down. The retreat turns to panic. Ridley, shaken and regretful, realizes she still holds the horn. In a moment of desperation, she offers it back to the unicorns, kneeling before the mother as tears stream down her face. The unicorns take their child’s body and vanish into the trees.

Plinth tries to flee by helicopter, but the unicorns strike again. The chopper crashes in a burst of light and fire. Elliot and Ridley survive, deeply changed. They leave the island quietly, their bond mended but their spirits marked by what they saw. As they drive away, the forest glows faintly behind them, a quiet sign that something ancient still watches.
Honestly, it was a very strange dream. Not exciting in any way at all, ended up fast forwarding all the way through. Personally, it's not getting up to a 6 out of 10. But, it serves as something to pass time I guess.
Thanks for reading.

The way you described it here seems interesting enough. I keep seeing this movie in passing but never gave it a chance. I just might now…😂
Suit yourself🥲... It felt like a Disney movie man😂. Nah, it wasn't IT for me at all
It was not high on my list but fell down a bit more now. I'm actually watching a 15 minute recap of it now, it's one of those movies suited for that just to get the entire story without having to watch the full movie.
I mean it's a good way to pass time considering it's just an hour plus... So maybe, you could pick it up?😂
