Send Help: Minimalist suspense that delivers but doesn't transcend【 🇪🇸 - 🇺🇸 】
Saludos, estimados cinéfilos de #CineTV. Hace poco estrenaron en mi canal de streaming favorito una película que tenía muchas ganas de ver desde que vi su tráiler. Hoy les vengo a hablar de Ayuda!. Un film de suspenso sencillo que me decepcionó un poco.
Greetings, fellow film buffs of #CineTV. A movie I'd been eagerly anticipating ever since seeing the trailer recently premiered on my favorite streaming channel. Today I'm here to talk about Send Help!. A simple thriller that somewhat disappointed me.

Protagonizada por la grandiosa Rachel McAdams y Dylan O'Brien (Maze Runner), es un film diferente a todo lo que había visto antes, sobre todo con ambos actores. Si bien se dice que es sencillo mostrar química amorosa entre 2 personajes, debe ser parecido a mostrar una química de odio entre ellos, sin embargo, yo pienso que hacer esto en la pantalla es algo difícil de lograr.

Starring the magnificent Rachel McAdams and Dylan O'Brien (Maze Runner), this film is unlike anything I've seen before, especially with both actors. While it's said that portraying romantic chemistry between two characters is easy, it must be similar to portraying hateful chemistry between them; however, I think that doing this on screen is quite difficult.
Pero uno de los aspectos a resaltar de esta película como punto positivo fue la química que tuvieron ambos actores demostrando lo expertos que son en odiarse. Esta relación capturada en la pantalla para mi fue de otro nivel.
But one of the most noteworthy aspects of this film was the chemistry between the two actors, demonstrating their expertise in portraying their mutual hatred. This on-screen dynamic was, for me, on another level.
Ver a McAdams también actuando como psicópata fue fenomenal y lo más disfrutable de la película. Por su parte, su compañero de reparto, O'Brien, no se quedó atrás, ya que fue el papel más odioso y antipático que he visto interpretar.
Seeing McAdams also act as a psychopath was phenomenal and the most enjoyable part of the film. For his part, her co-star, O'Brien, was no less impressive, delivering the most hateful and unlikeable performance I've ever seen.
Y aunque las actuaciones estuvieron fabulosas, la película en sí no me resultó memorable para la trama que tuvo, de hecho, no creo que la volvería a ver si la pasaran en televisión, ya que me gustó pero no me encantó.
And although the performances were fabulous, the film itself was not memorable for me because of the plot it had; in fact, I don't think I would watch it again if it were shown on television, since I liked it but I didn't love it.
Y esto se debe a que cuando vi el tráiler, la historia a desarrollarse me decía una cosa, y al ver la película se contó como que otra, es decir, el tráiler me mostró un nivel de suspenso que era bueno y la película al final fue más maldad pura que suspenso en sí, no sé si me explico.
This is because when I saw the trailer, the story seemed to unfold in one way, but when I saw the movie, it turned out to be something else entirely. In other words, the trailer showed a level of suspense that was good, but the movie ended up being more pure evil than suspense itself. I don't know if I'm explaining myself well.
Y ya esto me ha sucedido antes, así que creo que lo mejor será no ver ningún tráiler para disfrutar de un film con buenos actores. Tal vez el suspenso que me esperaba era así estilo Vuelo Nocturno que también es protagonizada por ella, pero no fue así.
This has happened to me before, so I think it's best not to watch any trailers and enjoy a film with good actors. Perhaps the suspense I was expecting was along the lines of Red Eye, which she also stars in, but it wasn't like that.
Pero estoy casi segura de que de no haber visto el tráiler, hubiera opinado lo mismo ya que, como les mencioné anteriormente, su final tuvo un giro inesperado. Y en sí todo el film me dejó con ganas de más, así que me decepcionó.
But I'm almost certain that if I hadn't seen the trailer, I would have felt the same way, since, as I mentioned before, the ending had an unexpected twist. And the whole film left me wanting more, so I was disappointed.
El suspenso que me esperaba era que fuera más terrorífico, más jumpscare o más terror psicológico, no ver a 2 personas odiarse en su máxima expresión hasta el punto de querer hacerse daño.
The suspense I was expecting was more terrifying, more jump scares, or more psychological horror, not to see two people hating each other to the point of wanting to hurt each other.
Eso fue lo que la hizo decepcionante para mí. Pero que no me gustara no significa que no te pueda gustar a ti. Yo me vi las películas hechas por el director, The Evil Dead y Drag Me to Hell, y me gustaron, una más que la otra, de hecho, Drag Me to Hell es un clásico para mí, pero la otra no tanto.
That's what made it disappointing for me. But just because I didn't like it doesn't mean you won't. I watched the director's films, The Evil Dead and Drag Me to Hell, and I liked them, one more than the other. In fact, Drag Me to Hell is a classic for me, but not so much the other one.
Y la gracia es que sus películas tuvieron diferentes formas de terror, por lo que pienso y te recomiendo que si te gusta el trabajo del director Sam Raimi, entonces dale una oportunidad a Send Help!, de mi parte, como no me gustó tanto, le otorgo sólo 3 estrellas doradas de 5.
And the great thing is that his films had different forms of horror, so I think and recommend that if you like the work of director Sam Raimi, then give Send Help! a chance. For my part, since I didn't like it that much, I only give it 3 out of 5 golden stars.

Muy buena tu reseña. Esto ahorra algo muy valioso como lo es el tiempo. Ya me doy cuenta que no es el tipo de película que me gusta ver y esto me ahorra los 20 minutos que paso "dándole la oportunidad a una película" una película antes de cambiar de canal.
