Exterritorial (2025) || Movie Review
I saw this movie not quite long and I don't know if I should say that I was conflicted afterwards. I wouldn't categorize it amongst the worst movies I have seen but it wasn't exactly gonna be amongst my top best movies.
The movie has a good storyline though. A mother whose son was kidnapped after leaving him in what was supposed to be a very safe place and in less than five minutes her boy was nowhere to be found.
What's more shocking was how she was being convinced that she was all alone with no child, with evidence from security cameras showing her to be alone with no son when she first came into the Consulate. It got to a point she started to believe them as she suffers from depression and hallucinations due to triggers from war. She was an ex-military. Of course with a storyline like that, you'd expect it to be a thriller packed with loads of action.
Sara Wulf(Jeanne Goursaud) the actress who played the mother whose son was kidnapped did perform well. Her fighting skills were commendable and all and she displayed the kind of emotion you'd expect to see from a mother whose child had been kidnapped.
What I Didn't Like About The Movie
The movie was kind of slow for one with this kind of storyline. I suppose in movies like this, time should be of the essence and it should have displayed how the mother wouldn't waste a second to try to find her son. What's with her finding the time to sit and drink a glass of water? Well, she was probably thirsty, don't mind me.
I was expecting to be at the edge of my seat, probably holding my breath as I anticipated some tensions and suspense, but the movie fell short of that. I already predicted most of what would happen in the movie. I knew the man who posed to be helping her look for her son was the villain all along and when it was finally revealed, well, it's safe to say it wasn't shocking at all.
The movie probably would have done well if there were more action scenes and the plot wasn't so predictable. Well, maybe it's just me.
The movie wasn't totally bad. It will help take your mind of things for the time being, well that's till you finish watching 😃😃😃.
You can also give it a try and see for yourself. I give it a rating of 5.5 out of 10.
Am not gonna lie If I was the woman I will believe the story too. Never in a million years did I think a CCTV footage can be worked on that fast and with her condition it was very easy to gaslight her into believing anything.
I was also convinced that the man was saying the truth to her. He even defended her to his boss so I totally believed him lol.
Yes, that's true. The CCTV footage was pretty convincing.
Well, good thing someone else believed her.
This movie is making waves. I think I'll better speed up and join on let me also experience some action 😁
Hahaha, okay then.
