Sound of freedom, a story that lives with you.

Hello movie lovers and members of the CineTV community today I want to talk about a film that shook me in a way I did not expect. Sound of Freedom is not your everyday cinema movie definitely ,it is one of those stories that stays in your mind even after the screen goes dark and as an artist I could not help but see it from two angles, one being the craft and the other being the emotion it forces out of you

When I first heard about this movie I thought it would just be another action rescue type but the truth is it was much more layered i like how the story follows a man’s mission to rescue children from trafficking and it is raw and heavy to watch. Trafficking is a major new age world problem thats no longer deliberated on like it used to or should be. At some point I had to pause not because the movie was annoying but because it was too real or too close to the things we ignore every day and clearly that is what art does it makes you face what you would rather look away from.

From the visual side the film is clean, sharp the camera moves with purpose and the colors almost feel washed in pain It is not glossy like most Hollywood thrillers and I think that was intentional it makes you feel present in the story
The acting was solid especially Jim Caviezel who carried that burdened look in his eyes that spoke louder than dialogue. For me as someone who sketches faces I noticed how his expressions told a whole story without needing words now the movie is not perfect there were moments I felt it leaned into sensationalism but again I asked myself is that not what makes us talk about it, Controversy and art always walk side by side. The bigger question this film left me with is does cinema movies like this help or does it risk twisting truth but then I think the answer depends on how we choose to engage with it

Sound of Freedom is more than just a film it is a mirror a reminder and maybe even a call to action. Personally, I came out from it not entertained but awakened and maybe that is the highest form of storytelling
If you’ve also seen this amazing movie i want to know how it made you feel and also do you think films like this should push for awareness or just stick to entertainment?
