Feedback from the April 1st Hive Power Up Day

Once again, we were surprised by the enthusiasm and the participation rate for this third edition of the year 2022 of the Hive Power Up Day.

While the mixed results of the Power Up Month made us fear a strong decrease, it is rather positive stability that we discovered.

Power Up Day has become an important moment in the life of our community and it is now setting the pace each month.

A few words from the PUD organizers

@traciyork

No fooling - here we are, two years and almost two weeks after the creation of our chain, and the amount of people celebrating by powering up on the first of each month seems to be growing all the time now! This month it's been a bit harder to judge the enthusiasm level, given that lots of Discord and Twitter notifications are coming in for both Power Up Day and HiveBloPoMo (Hive Blog Posting Month), but it still seems to me that bunches of people are doing some awesome staking today.

I think April's numbers will again show lots of new (and newish) faces to our community, and even if the total amount powered up isn't a huge amount (since new usually means small as far as liquid Hive goes), it's still a huge win Especially given the ultimate goal of this initiative (which turns 4 years old this month) is to encourage our newest and smallest members to stake their tokens, so they can grow their accounts.

As always, a big THANK YOU to everyone who participated in this Power Up Day by powering up, posting, and/or shouting out on all traditional web 2.0 social media. All of those things help shine a light on the blockchain, which in turn helps to grow our community. Special thanks to @hivebuzz for always BEEing such an incredible buzz-maker for Hive Power Up Day, and for continuing to add to the blockchain fun. And here's to all the Hiveans, new and old, who continue to increase their voting power and influence on the blockchain - congratulations to you all!

What are the PUD stats for this month?

As usual, let's start first with those who choose to help others grow, the Power Up Helpers, as those are the ones who deserve the most attention.

We have 6 users who have made a power-up to another account and have thus allowed 7 people to get their PUD badge.

[REMOVE] Special kudos to those who helped several accounts: @traciyork
(2).

Together, the helpers gifted 87.222 HIVE!

Here is the complete list of helpers and their donations:
@flemingfarm (25), @traciyork (22.22), @blackzoda (10), @coquicoin (10), @jacobtothe (10) and @ksteem (10).

A huge thank you to them all for their generosity! Show them some love by upvoting one of their recent posts.

The previous year, we had 166 users who helped at least one less powerful user who never got any power-up from anyone.

As you know, the Power Up Helper badge is now a yearly thing, so we have reset our counter for January 2022. Here is the list of benefactors who got the so brand new coveted Power Up Helper badge for 2022:

Congratulations to @traciyork (2), @flemingfarm (1), @blackzoda (1), @coquicoin (1), @jacobtothe (1) and @ksteem (1).
(List by number of helpees)

This brings the number of helpers for this year to 38 users.

Remember that the number of people you are helping will significantly influence the delegation we will do to you.

Let's now take a look at how you did against the previous editions:

As mentioned at the beginning of this post, we have a shy number of 380 participants. It's not the best, but not the worst either.

Regarding the volume of HIVE that have been powered up, Regarding the volume of HIVE energized, it is in line with what we observed the last months (apart from January) with 65561 HIVE powered up.

Let's now look at what happened with the distribution of power-ups:

Congrats to @v4vapp.dhf (10000), @fw206 (10000), @omonomo (6400.372), @kevinwong (4000), @balte (1718), @jphamer1 (1639.990), @jk6618 (1240.864), @ace108 (1234), @galenkp (1106.358), @positivum (1002.738), @dsky (1000), @mciszczon (1000), @fredrikaa (1000) and @ph1102 (1000).

They powered up at least 1000 HIVE and got the Jumbo-Bee badge.

Power Up Month is underway!

Don't forget that the Power Up Month challenge now takes place every month.

If you participated in the Power Up Day, you are automatically "registered" for the PUM and can be rewarded with a delegation of Hive Power at the end of it if you pass the challenge.

See you on May 1st for the next PUD!

@balte starkes Power Up! 💪🏻
Bei mir war es nur das kleine Bienchen aber bin jetzt schon das siebte Mal dabei.
Bei der Gelegenheit: kleiner Gruß, weil du ja Reime magst:

Kleines Bienchen
kann gut summen,
ist kein Bärchen,
die tun brummen.

😂 Schönen Sonntag!

I joined the HIVE Power Up Day for the first time on 1st of April. Actually, I have powered up all the HIVE I have earned since the beginning. If there needs to show much more amount to be powered up, people like me should power down then power up.

You need to power up least 10 Hive to get the Bee Badge 🐝
Congratulations to your first PUD! 👏🏻

Powering down before powering up would invalidate your power-up, unless they are done on separate months

Hi there, I thought I had met the criteria for a helper badge this time round ... ? 😍

Just wondering as well: Is the helpee account eligible for the HPUD prizes? That would be nice 😁

In case anyone doesn't know, @v4vapp.dhf is the account I use for my @v4vapp project which receives funds from the DHF. Powering up a large proportion of what I've earned there is my commitment to Hive!
