I know that you can relate to that one above. I'm like that sometimes especially when it's espresso base but what I'm amaze is that some people can handle 2 to 3 shots of espresso and it's an Americano.

I've been reading "The Sleeper Awakes" by H. G. Wells for far longer than I want to admit. I should probably make a point to sit down with it for a while this weekend.
Basically, a guy falls asleep for 200 years and when he wakes up, he's the ruler of the world. He needs to adapt to his new surroundings, and the book is full of "science predictions" that we actually have now. It's quite fun, I'm just bad at keeping up with my reading.
My new ceramic water filter has arrived! I tried some of the "modern" filters out there but I always end up going back to this. The water just tastes different - and better.

I wonder if Snaps will ever become the dominant use of Peakd over traditional posts. If not, will it ever be on par with them? Most of the time I find it easier to just browse and react to short-form content. It's still new and use still seems relatively low.
Oh, I totally agree. I wouldn't expect long form posts to go away. I just wonder if there will end up being more engagement because of short-form content becoming front and center.
Posts probably get more visibility because they work with any front-end. Snaps only work with PeakD, the front-end which usually caters more to power users.
This is a very good point about Hive overall. I was focused more on Peakd's use in particular, but I'm also an advocate for multiple front ends, so it kinda defeats my own purpose.
I believe #snaps will become more common for Hive users.
Currently, people are increasingly looking to consume short content, as the form of interaction is faster and therefore it is possible to do it much more often.
I don't usually downvote to equalize rewards, but sometimes I receive them and find it completely acceptable. However, I use my downvote whenever I see obviously plagiarized content or things of the sort

My first Christmas Cookie of the Season. My sister gave it to me yesterday along with some fun little gingerbread things, like paper plates, napkins and a gingy notepad. This was individually wrapped and the icing was red AND green layers. Fun little treat. Yum!

I think I'm going to pick it up Friday or Monday for some deals if there are any. I loved the other games but this one seems to have a bad story and that's the primary reason I liked the others.
I admit I couldn't play more than 5 hours of Dragon Age Inquisition because of the gameplay. This one, the gameplay caught my attention quite a bit, but I'm hesitant about the story. Still, I decided to give it a try.
Lately just Splinterlands. I'm not playing anything else, but if I actually find some more time and if the game is really interesting, I'll definitely play it.

It would be interesting to see the answer to the pre-test as well as the post-test. I love data and gathering them so knowing these, it would be a good measure whether to continue and expand or stop right there due to lack of interest or other factors.
A park ranger told us about these "hidden" petroglyphs. They were a little difficult to find because there is no signage to direct you. Found out later through a Google search that they are pretty well known. At the time though I felt like a discoverer of ancient artifacts. 😀

I've been reading "The Sleeper Awakes" by H. G. Wells for far longer than I want to admit. I should probably make a point to sit down with it for a while this weekend.
I haven't read that one from him, what is it about?
Basically, a guy falls asleep for 200 years and when he wakes up, he's the ruler of the world. He needs to adapt to his new surroundings, and the book is full of "science predictions" that we actually have now. It's quite fun, I'm just bad at keeping up with my reading.

My new pursuit of health: Cut out all the coffee. Bring a thermos flask to work with 3 Yorkshire Gold tea bags in it, and a dash of milk.
As a Brit, I'm ashamed i've only just started drinking black tea and realised the beauty of it...
Black tea is fantastic. I've been very on the fence about switching to it from coffee myself, but I just love coffee too damn much.
I thought it might not replace but with the tea bags in all day, it's got that creamy thickness of a coffee without the sting of the jitters and the sudden need to poop.
Also it reduces strokes by like 20% (for real)

Probably depends... Most coffee drinkers fill it with sugary milks, creams and flavourings - tea drinkers are more likely to just use the tiniest dash of milk and nothing else.
But yeah, in the raw form, both are super healthy for different reasons!

I wonder if Snaps will ever become the dominant use of Peakd over traditional posts. If not, will it ever be on par with them? Most of the time I find it easier to just browse and react to short-form content. It's still new and use still seems relatively low.

Posts probably get more visibility because they work with any front-end. Snaps only work with PeakD, the front-end which usually caters more to power users.
This is a very good point about Hive overall. I was focused more on Peakd's use in particular, but I'm also an advocate for multiple front ends, so it kinda defeats my own purpose.
I think it might in a few years. Maybe not with existing users, but I think new users might gravitate to snaps more.

My first Christmas Cookie of the Season. My sister gave it to me yesterday along with some fun little gingerbread things, like paper plates, napkins and a gingy notepad. This was individually wrapped and the icing was red AND green layers. Fun little treat. Yum!

It's not a big challenge for me. I'm familiar with it after a few battles.
After removing the mobile app, changing the layout to make it more comfortable on mobile is necessary.

Despite the various criticisms, I decided to try out Dragon Age: The Veilguard. What about you? What have you been playing lately?
I think I'm going to pick it up Friday or Monday for some deals if there are any. I loved the other games but this one seems to have a bad story and that's the primary reason I liked the others.
I admit I couldn't play more than 5 hours of Dragon Age Inquisition because of the gameplay. This one, the gameplay caught my attention quite a bit, but I'm hesitant about the story. Still, I decided to give it a try.
Lately just Splinterlands. I'm not playing anything else, but if I actually find some more time and if the game is really interesting, I'll definitely play it.

Today I tested the Peak Vault contacts functionality by adding @shiftrox and making a transfer to him. I believe it is a very good tool in the sense that sometimes there are users with a complicated name and this way we can transfer funds without confusing the names.
I've seen people talking a lot about peak vault, I'm going to have to get into it and understand what it is kkk, is it an extension? Is it a new frontend?

They sell many items now with this heating system- gloves, jackets, vests, scarves, etc. I have a vest and using it in the cold was a revelation. Only downside is bulky battery but those keep getting smaller.

A park ranger told us about these "hidden" petroglyphs. They were a little difficult to find because there is no signage to direct you. Found out later through a Google search that they are pretty well known. At the time though I felt like a discoverer of ancient artifacts. 😀
