📽️ The Housemaid (2025 film) (2025) · 70/100

Was a good film, and was fantastic to see these two very attractive women who are also good actresses work together. The issue I had with this film is that it was very confusing and it relied on a very long narration at the end to put the pieces together. This is just a personal thing: I don't like it when films are so convoluted that a 5 minute voiceover is necessary towards the end to let the audience have any idea what the hell just happened.

I think it's one of the worst anime I have seen. I think the behaviour of the heroine's parents was kind of too much and unrealistic. I expected more use of magic in this anime; the magic power was used for a kind of joking purpose. Was it I who felt that way? The story was also too simple. I feel I wasted my time watching it.

Watching the start of the second season, it feels like the Locke family learned nothing from the destruction of the previous season, and they are still living in the delusion that they defeated the villain, even though the real danger is roaming right under their noses. After watching the whole season, I will give it a rating of 85/100. To be honest, there were flaws in the script, there was more teenage drama than necessary, and the characters also seemed to make huge foolish mistakes in many places, but the unique concept of magic keys, the dark mystery, and the explosive twist of the last episode won my heart. If you keep logic aside, it is pure entertainment and full value for time show.
