Recientemente tuve la oportunidad de ver esta película que me había salido muchísimo en TikTok, vi varios trailers y siempre llamo mi atención aunque pensé que la trama seria muy diferente, pero cuando la vi me quede bastante asombrada sobre todo con las escenas tan violentas que vi que llegan a lo bizarro y extraño pero que al mismo tiempo da mucha risa de lo absurdo que es.

I recently had the chance to watch this movie that had been popping up all over TikTok. I’d seen several trailers, and it always caught my attention, even though I thought the plot would be very different. But when I watched it, I was pretty shocked—especially by the violent scenes, which border on the bizarre and strange, yet at the same time are hilarious because of how absurd they are.

La hermosísima Rachel McAdams en esta película es “LINDA” la típica empleada que lleva años siendo explotada por una empresa en la cual nunca la toman en cuenta, eso sucede muchísimo, de hecho Linda me recordó a una señora que conocí hace mucho en mi ultimo trabajo, no solo por ser una empleada “chupa medias” sino tambien porque es bastante desagradable, hay que admitir que llegamos a empatizar con Linda pero ella tambien es un poco sucia, desarreglada, en fin, ella quiere impresionar a su nuevo jefe, pero el tipo la ve como un bicho raro, de hecho esta pensando en despedirla. Sin embargo, deben tomar un vuelo de negocios y el avión sufre un terrible accidente donde todos mueren excepto linda y su jefe Bradley

The absolutely gorgeous Rachel McAdams plays “LINDA” in this movie—the typical employee who’s been exploited for years by a company that never takes her seriously. That happens all the time; in fact, Linda reminded me of a woman I met a long time ago at my last job, not just because she was a “brown-noser” but also because she’s pretty unpleasant. we have to admit that we end up empathizing with Linda, but she’s also a bit messy and disheveled. Anyway, she wants to impress her new boss, but he sees her as a weirdo—in fact, he’s thinking about firing her. However, they have to take a business flight, and the plane crashes, killing everyone except Linda and her boss, Bradley.

Pero Linda logre sobrevivir a esta situación extrema en donde se encuentran abandonados en una Isla, ella tiene muchos conocimientos de supervivencia que utiliza de manera impresionante, Bradley por mas que intenta no puede estar sin ella, depende de Linda para sobrevivir. Pero pasan cosas muy extrañas durante la película y veremos que Linda, es mas espeluznante de lo que imaginamos.

But Linda manages to survive this extreme situation in which they find themselves stranded on an island; she has a wealth of survival skills that she puts to impressive use. No matter how hard he tries, Bradley can’t do without her—he depends on Linda to survive. But some very strange things happen throughout the film, and we’ll see that Linda is even more terrifying than we ever imagined.

La película es bastante divertida, no es 100% terror, digamos que parece una mezcla extraña entre terror, comedia, drama y gore, no busca ser una película seria, todo es exagerado para darte a entender que no se lo toma muy enserio, es bastante loca, pero funciona bien. No es la mejor película del año, pero definitivamente es bastante interesante el concepto de una empleada vengándose de su jefe y envueltos en una situación asi, que incluso en algún punto parece que la historia iría por un tono romántico, pero nada mas lejos de la realidad

The movie is pretty funny; it’s not 100% horror. Let’s just say it feels like a strange mix of horror, comedy, drama, and gore. It doesn’t try to be a serious film—everything is exaggerated to make it clear that it doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s pretty crazy, but it works well. It’s not the best movie of the year, but the concept of an employee taking revenge on her boss and getting caught up in a situation like that is definitely pretty interesting. At one point, it even seems like the story might take a romantic turn, but nothing could be further from the truth.

Yo la recomiendo, pero ten en cuenta que es una película que busca inquietarte, hacerte reír e incluso asquearte en cierto punto.

I recommend it, but keep in mind that it's a movie designed to unsettle you, make you laugh, and even gross you out at times.
