My opinion about Kimetsu no Yaiba: Infinity Castle || Mi opinión sobre Kimetsu no Yaiba: El Castillo Infinito💥⚔️

Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) is an anime that has received a lot of love, but also a lot of hate. And with the release of the first of three films covering the final arc of the story, Kimetsu has been on the lips of most of us in the anime community. This is especially true given its tremendous success, positioning itself as one of the highest-grossing anime films in history. So you've probably heard of this anime, you know that “Infinity Castle” was released, and from the title of this post, you'll already know that I'm here to share my opinion of the film✨

BUT I HAVE TWO WARNINGS. 1. I belong to the part of humanity that really likes this anime, that loved the movie from beginning to end, and I have nothing to criticize about what I saw in the theater. 2. You will probably find SPOILERS about the movie, because I can't contain all the things I want to comment on, the excitement is too great🥹

Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) es un anime que ha recibido mucho amor, pero también mucho odio. Y con el estreno de la primera película de tres, que abarcan el arco final de la historia, Kimetsu ha estado en boca de la mayoría de las personas que pertenecemos a la comunidad de anime. Especialmente, por el tremendo éxito que está teniendo, posicionándose como una de las películas de anime más taquilleras de la historia. Así que seguramente has oído hablar de este anime, sabes que se estrenó el "Castillo Infinito", y por el título de la publicación ya sabrás que vengo a compartir mi opinión de la película✨

PERO TENGO DOS ADVERTENCIAS. 1. Pertenezco a la parte de la humanidad que sí le gusta bastante este anime, que amó de principio a fin la película, y no tengo nada que criticar acerca de lo que ví en el cine. 2. Probablemente, encontrarás SPOILERS de la película, porque no puedo contener todas las cosas que quiero comentar, la emoción es demasiado grande🥹

When the pandemic began, and we were forced to stay at home without knowing what to do with our lives, I entered the world of anime. Kimetsu was the second anime I watched, so it will always be important to me because it took me away from reality and brought me joy during a very difficult time. Later on, it became the first manga I ever read. Therefore, this review will be very fan service because I am very fond of this story ❤️‍🩹

Watching Infinite Castle at the cinema was an experience unlike anything I had ever felt before. The theater was packed, with lots of people wearing shirts and even cosplaying as their favorite characters. You could feel the excitement in the air. There were moments when we were all connected: when Shinobu walked toward her encounter with Dōma, a collective “no” was heard; during Zenitsu's fight against Kaigaku, the tension was palpable; and when Akaza's past was revealed, the theater was filled with sighs. It was clear that everyone was experiencing the same whirlwind of emotions.

Mi experiencia con el anime (y la película)

Cuando comenzó la pandemia, y nos vimos obligados a estar en casa sin saber qué hacer con nuestra existencia, entré en el mundo del anime. Y Kimetsu fue el segundo anime que vi, así que para mí siempre será importante porque me alejó de la realidad, y me dio alegría, en un momento muy difícil. Además, tiempo después se convirtió en el primer manga que leí. Por ende, esta reseña será muy fanservice, porque le tengo mucho cariño a esta historia ❤️‍🩹

Ver El Castillo Infinito en el cine fue una experiencia distinta a todo lo que había sentido antes. La sala estaba llena, mucha gente con camisas y hasta cosplay de sus personajes favoritos, se sentía la emoción. Hubo momentos en que todos estábamos conectados: cuando Shinobu caminaba hacia su encuentro con Dōma se escuchó un “no” colectivo, en la pelea de Zenitsu contra Kaigaku la tensión se respiraba en el aire, y en el pasado de Akaza la sala estaba llena de suspiros. Se notaba que cada persona estaba viviendo el mismo torbellino de emociones.

It was special to think that this story, which I started alone in my room in the middle of the pandemic, was now being played out on the big screen, with speakers and accompanied by other fans. Pride, sadness, nostalgia... all mixed together in those two hours. I felt proud of the characters' development, their struggles, their pain, and how you empathize with their wounds.

And I can't stop talking about the soundtrack and animation. The music was amazing: each track went hand in hand with the scene, making your heart beat to the same rhythm as the blows. And the animation... what a beautiful thing!✨ Every detail was carefully crafted, the colors, the fluidity, the spectacular fights. And if I had to choose one moment that took my breath away, I would say the fight between Zenitsu and Kaigaku. It was a show of lightning, lights, and tension that made me want to applaud and cry at the same time⚡

Fue especial pensar que esta historia que empecé sola, en mi cuarto, en plena pandemia, ahora la estaba viviendo en pantalla gigante, con altavoces y acompañada de otros fans. Orgullo, tristeza, nostalgia… todo junto en esas dos horas. Me sentí orgullosa del desarrollo de los personajes, de sus batallas, de su dolor y de cómo empatizas con sus heridas.

Y no puedo dejar de hablar de la banda sonora y la animación. La música fue lo máximo: cada tema iba de la mano con la escena, logrando que el corazón latiera al mismo ritmo que los golpes. Y la animación… ¡qué cosa tan hermosa!✨ Cada detalle cuidado, los colores, la fluidez, la espectacularidad de las peleas. Y si tuviera que elegir un momento que me dejó sin aire, diría que la pelea de Zenitsu y Kaigaku. Fue un show de rayos, luces y tensión que me hizo querer aplaudir y llorar al mismo tiempo⚡

I can't lie: I love all the pillars. Seeing them in action, even if only for brief moments, filled my heart. But it was also a huge blow... In this installment, we say goodbye to Shinobu, and even though I knew what was going to happen, no amount of preparation could prepare me for it😭 Her death was grotesque, cruel, painful. It hurt me so much. But at the same time, I admire her more than ever: her sacrifice says everything about who she was and the strength she always hid behind that calm smile.

On the other hand, Tomioka won my heart even more. Seeing him more confident, recognizing that he is indeed on par with the other pillars, and at the same time caring for Tanjiro like a brother... it was beautiful. That man, who seemed so cold at first, now shines with a humanity and loyalty that made me want to applaud him every time he appeared.

Personajes que brillaron

No puedo mentir: amo a todos los pilares. Verlos en acción, aunque fuera por momentos breves, me llenó el corazón. Pero también fue un golpe durísimo… En esta entrega nos despedimos de Shinobu, y aunque sabía lo que iba a pasar, no hay preparación que alcance😭 Su muerte fue grotesca, cruel, dolorosa. Me dolió demasiado. Pero al mismo tiempo, la admiro más que nunca: su sacrificio lo dice todo sobre quién era y sobre la fuerza que siempre escondió tras esa sonrisa tranquila.

Por otro lado, Tomioka se ganó mi corazoncito aún más. Verlo más confiado, reconociendo que sí está a la altura de los demás pilares, y al mismo tiempo cuidando de Tanjiro como un hermano… fue precioso. Ese hombre, que parecía tan frío al inicio, ahora brilla con una humanidad y una lealtad que me hicieron querer aplaudirle cada vez que aparecía.

Inosuke was pure comedy and tenderness when he entered the castle, with that innocent excitement that made me laugh and love him even more.

Zenitsu was simply glorious. Awake! Conscious! The words he exchanged with Kaigaku were 10/10, that determination and courage. That pride in seeing him grow as a swordsman filled me with tears. And it's funny to see the “Mandela effect” of his victory. Did the crows announce that he had defeated a Moon? I only remember the moment when it was announced that he would meet the Upper Moon, but not his victory (although there are people who swear that it was announced).

And Tanjiro... what can I say? That boy always gives it his all. The way he connected the dots and interpreted Akaza's technique in the middle of battle. The way he improved his own technique. Tanjiro never gives up, and he never ceases to amaze. That's why he's such a beloved character.

Inosuke fue pura comedia y ternura en su entrada al Castillo, con esa emoción inocente que me hizo reír y amarlo todavía más.

Zenitsu fue simplemente glorioso. ¡Despierto! ¡Consciente! Las palabras que cruzó con Kaigaku fueron 10/10, esa decisión y valentía. Ese orgullo de verlo crecer como espadachín me llenó hasta las lágrimas. Y es divertido ver el “efecto Mandela” de su victoria, ¿los cuervos anunciaron que había derrotado una Luna? Solo recuerdo el momento en que se anunció que se encontraría con la Luna Superior, pero no su victoria, (aunque hay gente que jura que sí se avisó)😬

Y Tanjiro… ¿qué puedo decir? Ese chico siempre lo da todo. La manera en que unió los puntos e interpretó la técnica de Akaza en medio de la batalla. En como él mismo mejoró su técnica. Tanjiro nunca se rinde, y nunca deja de sorprender. Por eso es un personaje que se quiere tanto.

As for the demonic moons:

Kokushibo, the First Upper Moon, appeared very briefly, but it was enough to make me obsessed with his design. He's spectacular. I can't wait to see him in action.

Dōma, the Second Moon, is the opposite: zero empathy. I hate him, and that's precisely what makes him a great villain. Condescending, ironic, unpleasant... watching him fight Shinobu was painful. And now we'll have him facing Kanao and Inosuke, which only increases my desire to see his end and enjoy it to the fullest.

Akaza, the Third Moon, broke my heart. That “code of honor” of his, how he recognizes the strength of his opponents and respects them in a way that's strange for a demon. His fight against Tanjiro and Giyu was crazy: pure tension, technique against technique. And his story... yes, it was a long flashback, but necessary. That's the essence of Akaza: a man who was “forced” to become a demon by Muzan, losing his memory in the process, and who ultimately had to remember who he was. It was heartbreaking, but at the same time it humanized him like no other.

En cuanto a las lunas demoníacas:

Kokushibo, la Primera Luna Superior, apareció muy poco pero fue suficiente para obsesionarme con su diseño. Es espectacular. Estoy impaciente por verlo en acción.

Dōma, la Segunda Luna, es lo opuesto: cero empatía. Lo odio, y eso es precisamente lo que lo hace un gran villano. Condescendiente, irónico, desagradable… verlo pelear contra Shinobu fue dolorosísimo. Y ahora lo tendremos frente a Kanao e Inosuke, lo que solo aumenta mis ganas de ver su final y disfrutarlo con todo.

Akaza, la Tercera Luna, me partió el corazón. Ese “código de honor” suyo, cómo reconoce la fuerza de sus oponentes y los respeta de una manera extraña para ser demonio. Su enfrentamiento contra Tanjiro y Giyu fue una locura: pura tensión, técnica contra técnica. Y su historia… sí, fue un flashback largo, pero necesario. Esa es la esencia de Akaza: un hombre que fue “obligado” a convertirse en demonio por Muzan, perdiendo su memoria en el proceso, y que finalmente tenía que recordar quién era. Fue desgarrador, pero al mismo tiempo lo humanizó como ningún otro.

Important details

Amidst all the epic battles, there are details that, although more subtle, deeply mark the experience. Seeing Murata and the other low-ranking hunters lose their lives on the battlefield reminded me of the training arc with the Hashira: that “calm before the storm” that now makes sense because every technique learned becomes an act of resistance. Another key moment is the role of Ubuyashiki's son, who, together with his sisters, bears the weight of the clan, facing the challenge of drawing the castle in the midst of war. Here we see the strategic mind he inherited from his father and how his ingenuity, with the help of Yushiro and the crows, becomes essential. And, as a meaningful nod, discovering that he is protected by two imposing figures such as Tengen Uzui and Shinjuro Rengoku adds a level of protection and excitement that connects with what has already been experienced in previous arcs.

And even with all the tension of the moment, Kimetsu doesn't lose its characteristic touch: those comical scenes that appear suddenly, breaking the seriousness just enough to remind us that this story has always known how to balance darkness with warmth and humor. It's a detail that maintains the essence that has accompanied all the seasons so far, bringing freshness to so much intensity.

Detalles importantes

Entre todo el despliegue de batallas épicas, hay detalles que, aunque más sutiles, marcan profundamente la experiencia. Ver a Murata y a los demás cazadores de rango bajo dejar la vida en el campo de batalla me recordó el arco del entrenamiento con los Hashira: esa “calma antes de la tormenta” que ahora cobra sentido porque cada técnica aprendida se convierte en un acto de resistencia. Otro momento clave es el rol del hijo de Ubuyashiki, quien junto a sus hermanas carga con el peso del clan, enfrentando el reto de dibujar el castillo en plena guerra. Ahí se nota la mente estratégica que heredó de su padre y cómo su ingenio, con la ayuda de Yushiro y los cuervos, se vuelve esencial. Y, como un guiño lleno de significado, descubrir que lo resguardan dos figuras imponentes como Tengen Uzui y Shinjuro Rengoku suma un nivel de protección y emoción que conecta con lo ya vivido en arcos anteriores.

Y aun con toda la tensión del momento, Kimetsu no pierde su toque característico: esas escenas cómicas que aparecen de repente, rompiendo la seriedad solo lo justo para recordarnos que esta historia siempre ha sabido equilibrar la oscuridad con la calidez y el humor. Es un detalle que mantiene la esencia que ha acompañado a todas las temporadas hasta ahora, dándole frescura a tanta intensidad.

I believe Kimetsu's success is due to the fact that it tells a simple story that is easy to understand, without too many complexities, but which remains interesting and entertaining. It is a short story compared to other anime, with story arcs consisting of only a few episodes, so it creates that addiction of wanting to know what happens next. It has a diverse cast of characters, each with a significant role in the narrative. Plus, it's available on Netflix, both subtitled and dubbed, so even my dad watched the first season (and he liked it, he enjoyed it); that accessibility means it reaches twice as many people. And, we have to admit, we are in an era where anime (and Asian culture in general) is no longer rejected in our culture, it is no longer frowned upon, and that is an important point, because it is being given the visibility and support it deserves, and for that reason, the story of Kimetsu achieves the fame it has. It is a good story, with spectacular animation, that came at just the right time.

For me, this new arc reaffirms everything that Demon Slayer represents: excitement, sacrifice, endearing characters, and impeccable production. A story that, even though we already know where it's headed, still manages to thrill us with each installment.

Considero que el éxito de Kimetsu se debe a que narra una historia sencilla, fácil de comprender, sin tantas complejidades, pero que sigue siendo interesante y entretenida. Es una historia corta en comparación a otros animes, con arcos de pocos capítulos, así que genera esa adicción de querer saber qué viene después. Tiene diversos personajes, cada uno con un buen grado de significancia para la narrativa. Además, está disponible en Netflix, tanto subtitulada como con doblaje, así que hasta mi padre vio la primera temporada (y le gustó, se lo disfrutó); esa accesibilidad hace que llegue al doble de personas. Y, hay que admitir, que estamos en una era donde el anime (y la cultura asiática en general) ya no es rechazada en nuestra cultura, ya no es mal vista, y eso es un punto importante, porque se le está dando la visibilidad y apoyo que merece, y, por esa razón, la historia de Kimetsu logra la fama que tiene. Es una buena historia, con una animación espectacular, que llegó justo en el momento adecuado.

Para mí, este nuevo arco reafirma todo lo que Demon Slayer representa: emoción, sacrificio, personajes entrañables y una producción impecable. Una historia que, aunque ya sabemos hacia dónde se dirige, sigue logrando estremecernos en cada entrega.

Sin duda, una experiencia inolvidable que se gana con todo merecimiento ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 de 5 estrellas)
