Anime Review ~ Gurren Lagann (2007)

Today I am going to review about a masterpiece anime named Gurren Lagann. This was a very greatest anime of 2000's era, which only classic anime fans know about.

This is an action, adventure, comedy and a science-fiction anime which was animated by Gainax Studio.

And this is the same story which completely animated the classic Neon Genesis Evangelion anime series.

So you are going to get similar vibes to a great extent in it.

If I talk about the basic story of this anime, then I will smack its episode one, which will give you an idea whether watching the story of this anime is worth it or not.

So I will explain only its episode one.

Story:

Its story is based on a futuristic world, where humanity lives underground.

No human ever goes to the surface of the earth because they feel that there is a lot of danger on the earth.

Due to which most of the people of that world live inside the bean, completely unaware of what exists above the earth.

And most of the people there make their living by digging in the ground.

So in one of these isolated villages comes our main character of anime, whose name is Simon,
who is a young kid, who is very amazing in his digging skill,
who finds very amazing things by digging a lot in the ground.

If we talk about Simon's personality, then Simon's personality is very shy, in which there is no confidence at all.

Due to which his goal of life is also very simple and he does not think of achieving any big thing.

But he has a big brother named Kamina, whose personality is completely opposite to Simon.

Kamina has only one goal in life that he has to go to the surface of the earth somehow and explore the earth.

For which he always keeps Simon with him and keeps creating new plans to somehow escape from the village and go to the top of the earth.

In which mostly Kamina always fails.

Twist:

Then comes a very amazing twist in the story.

One day while digging Simon finds a drill key along with a huge face of a robot.

So when Simon is putting this key in that robot, then a huge explosion sound is heard.

Breaking the top surface of the village, a huge robot comes to their village, along with which there is also a girl who is fighting with it.

Seeing this, Kamina gets very excited because this is the first time something has entered their village from the surface.

Then the girl Yoko, Kamina and Simon team up and try to defeat that robot.

Then Simon understands that the robot face he has got is actually a mini robot.

He activates the robot as soon as he puts a key inside it.

This robot is a very valuable weapon of that world, about which he is not aware at all.

With the help of this robot, they defeat their enemy robot very easily.

After which all three of them reach the surface of the Earth, from where the new journey of the main character of our elm begins.

Simon and Kamina decide to leave their village and work with the people of the surface so that they can explore this world more and solve many such mysteries.

Because humanity cannot live freely on the surface of the Earth.

Action and Scale:

After this, the story of this anime is going to be very interesting.

In this anime, you get to see one fight after another, which is going to be very amazing.

Simon defeats very dangerous villains with the help of his mini robot.

And their fight, which started from a village, ends in the galaxies.

So inside this anime, you are going to see a fight on a very big scale, which is going to be very amazing.

Personal Opinion:

So if I tell you my personal opinion,

The thing that impressed me the most in this anime was the motivation of our main character - the will to never give up and always fight back.

So if you want to see a motivational anime,

Which will completely fire you up from within, then this is going to be a very amazing choice.

So you can definitely try this anime.

• Duration of each episode: 24 minutes

• This anime got a rating: 8.64

You get to watch the complete season of this anime in both English and English sub.

Apart from this, two of its movies have also been released,

which are in a way a recap of its first two parts.

Out of which its first movie covered the first 13 episodes

and its next movie the next 14 episodes.

So if you want to finish it in a very fast way,

then you can also watch only these two movies -

which I would not recommend to you at all.

So if you want, you can also skip this movie.

Season and Manga:

Apart from this, no new season of this anime was released because the ending of this anime was very amazing.

But still, we are disappointed to a great extent that the second season of this anime could have been created,

as amazing was the story of this anime.

Apart from this, if we talk about its manga,

So inside this anime you get to read a total of 10 volumes,

which make a total of 65 chapters.

Its manga has also been completely ended,

and the ending of the anime and the ending of the manga are the same.

So if you want to read only the manga, then you can read -
