Hello once again Otaku's of Hive. It's great to see the amount of posts here😍. I remember when it seemed it was only me and @adamada posting. Anyways I'm so happy today cause it finally came😭. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was finally available for download in Nigeria and this is my review on it.
Now I know I don't need to introduce Jujutsu Kaisen to any anime fans out there actually I think I'm even the last to watch the movie on this group and I want to thank y'all for your sympathy in not posting the review and thus me not having to see any spoilers, I'll try to limit the spoilers in my post too.

Plot

Yuta Okkotsu is a teenager with a very powerful curse protecting him. After his horrific fight on school bullies he was brought to trial by the Jujutsu Court and was taken to Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School to help him control his power and keep an eye on him.

Now one thing we should note is that this film is a prequel to the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen. Although since y'all have been so kind not to post about it I won't spoil the film for any who hasn't watched it.(Although I doubt there is anyone like that here 😂)

Yuta and his cursed spirit Rika entered Jujutsu Kaisen and thrived. This brought the attention of Geto Suguru, another special class sorcerer who wants to kill all the normal humans and have a world filled with only Jujutsu Sorcerers.

This movie I think was made to accentuate how strong Yuta and Rika was and I think it really went well. The duo of special grade human and curse although they don't have much funny moment like Sukuna and Itadori, one has to really admire their bond. It makes one want to see how strong YutaxRika has become and it makes you anticipate Season 2 a lot more.

What I liked

There were a lot of different things 8 liked about the film,

The Character Development
In the film we had to see a smooth and upward character development of Yuta Okkotsu, a boy troubled by a deadly spirit would surely be ostracized in the general public and more so in the Jujutsu world and the film did well to show that. Although they also didn't rush the way his troubles went and managed to show us scenes of when Yuta came to understand his classmates and their own troubles, learn to care for them and accept them as true friends, despite their hilarious first encounter.

The Rage Moments
In this film, the rage moments were truly terrifying. It just goes to show how strong Gojo and Yuta are, with Gojo's icy stare that ensures your death and Yuta's toe curling glare that makes you think, how will he try to kill me. The fight that followed after these respective looks were awesome too.

The graphics
The graphics were really great. It helped accentuate Jujutsu Kaisen's dark theme. Then for the fights😍, whoever watches it would understand 🤧.

The Story
Like I mentioned before this story is a prequel to Season 1 and they went well in showing that. Explaining a lot of questions most fans had about Season 1. Mine especially for I wondered about Yuta when he was mentioned at being stronger than Itadori, I also wondered what was the connection between Geto and Jujutsu High, for he seemed like all those villains that had bad blood with the school. Thankfully those questions were answered somewhat.

The Storyline
In the title of this post I wrote the most twisted curse. Thanks to this film I've come to understand that the answer is Love. For those that watched the film you'll understand just how fickle yet strong a love curse can be, after all it did create the Queen of Curses.

What I didn't like.

The unanswered questions
Although this film did well to answer questions, it also went and left us with more brain wrecking questions. The Geto situation in particular, in a flashback it shows that Geto, Gojo and another girl was in the same year in Jujutsu High. Apparently Geto and Gojo had a falling out and Geto turned rogue.
This makes me wonder, why exactly did he get to hate humans this much and who was that girl.

Was she a love interest? Or is she just another nameless character.

Although I doubt a person in the same class with 2 special class sorcerer's like Gojo and Geto would be a nameless character. Anyway these questions I'm still searching for answers despite having to scour through countless reviews and YouTube philosophies.

Review

This was a really nice film for as you can see clearly the pros outnumber the cons. It was also rated 7.9 in IMDb and 98% in Rotten Tomatoes. Let me just tell you that the hype wasn't too much, so I f you haven't watched it yet, goan get it now, for another review may carry spoilers🤧.
I rate this show a 9.8 over 10 and I recommend it to any and all anime fans even non anime fans can watch it. So y'all should go on and watch this film and find out about the most twisted curse 🙂
